  4. I haven’t had the VSG yet. But I’ve had a couple other abdominal surgeries. They blow your stomach up with air in order to do the operation laparoscopically. So after surgery that air has to go somewhere and it can take up to a week for it to completely leave your body some people have pain with it some have bloating, I personally had some pain and uncomfortableness but nothing unbearable. Gas-x is your friend!!!!!!
  5. Hi. I had the test done with a nuclear egg( not a fan) you get an image of the food in your stomach to the intestinal track every hour. If after Four hours & the food is still in the stomach they consider you to have gastroparesis or some type of slow gastric emptying. From what I’ve read about Gastric sleeve it seems to actually help the problem I read articles on it if you Google it you may read about the advantages. Hope all goes well for you.

  14. Hi ... I had 2 tummy tucks 1 due to a surprise pregnancy later in life. 1 20 years ago. My surgeon said it makes it a little more complicated because when they use the gas it’s harder to get your stomach to stretch. He said he has done several VSG afterTT & all successful. Hope that helps I know this post is older. If anyone has had one I would love some input. MyVSG is June

  18. Hello it’s been years since I have written anything or commented. I had a lap band in 7/2012 & removed 8/13 due to nausea, choking& vomiting. Extreme psi entire time where port was ! This was a hard year. I vowed never to revisit Bariatric surgery again. Well - I started a new journey oct of 2017.... now on the road to a sleeve procedure my 6 months is up in April ... I am a nervous wreck but I have many health reason to try to do this!!! I will keep you updated. I personally would never recommend a lap band But that being said it had worked for some .. best future to all!!
