  1. I had to have my band taken out last month due to erosion. I too had it done it Mexico, but I think I had a wonderful doctor. I believe the reason it sounds like so many come from Mexico is because so many more people have theirs done there.
  2. I agree. I don't regret doing it. In fact, I think I want to have it put back in after the 6 months. I am just wondering if there is anyone else who has done that. I think the band is a great thing.
  3. No, I do not have diabetes. I am pretty sure the erosion occured because I got my fill to full. I didn't have any bad symptoms. I just knew something wasn't right because I kept getting fills and feeling nothing. I didn't have my fills with the flouroscopy and I will do that from now on. I went back to see Dr. Rodriquez and he did the flouroscopy and it was obvious. He is isn't charging me to fix it, but I do have to pay the hospital bill. My sister and dad also had the surgery. They are doing great. I still think it is a good idea.
  4. I had my band put it almost two years ago. I just found out that I have to have it taken out because of erosion. I am going tomorrow to Mexico. I know the doctor said that I could probably wait 6 months and have it put back in. Has anyone else done this?
  5. Wow! You all are quick. Actually I have to have my band removed this Friday. I had it put it in Mexico, and worked great for about 6 months. I lost 50 pounds. I went in for a fill, and I think I got it too full. I got to where it felt like it wasn't even there. I knew something was wrong, but I got pregnant and didn't worry about it. I decided in December I better have it checked out. When I did the doctor said I had an erosion. I was very upset and didn't know what to do. I finally decided to get it over with. I am not sure if I want to try to have it put back in or not. I didn't know if anyone else went through this and had theirs put back.
  6. I had the surgery 2 years ago in May. This is the first time I have used a forum. I am having some problems, so I wanted to see if there was anyone else out there like me.
