  1. Hi everyone, I have been reading this board for only a few days, but have found it to be very informative with LOTS of friendly people. :biggrin2: My story, in a nutshell...I'm 39, T2 diabetes, hypertensive and have elevated cholesterol (going on 7 years for all). I'm 5'5" and 197 lbs. I have plugged in my numbers and it says I am not eligible for the surgery. I have tried for MANY years to diet/exercise, nothing works. I am on meds for my problems...honestly, I'm feeling desperate. I get so MAD because I can't stick to a program very long, and I'm worried how everything I put in my mouth is killing me. Wow, that was hard to type out. I am just starting to inquire about the band, haven't even spoken to my doc about it. I'm going to a meeting at a local hospital next week to find out if it IS right for me. Thanks for listening. Again, very friendly folks here! :crying:
