I was sleeved back in November and have lost 72lbs. I work with over 3,000 people so everyday all day I get comments about how great I look- which is awesome but not the reason I did it. I also get comments on how I look ill/sick. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Anyone not lose weight?

I will say that I don’t know anything about cushings but I have experienced all the ups and downs from the surgery. I remember at the beginning feeling like I was going to be the one person that does not lose weight. Well I have and continue to do so... it won’t come off like we want it to. You will go through stalls (I just was stalled for 3 weeks 4.5 months out) and you will feel like you won’t lose another pound but if you are doing the right things your body will adjust and you will lose again. It works even when you feel like it won’t. 5’8 Sleeved 11/15/17, HW 288, SW 265, CW 200

    Muffins??

I’m 3.5 months out and had a mini muffin this morning for the first time in as long as I can remember. Had no issues but regretted making the bad choice almost immediately after. But live and learn!

I was sleeved back in November so I’m a few months ahead of you. Also my starting weight of preop diets was 288 so much higher than yours so you won’t lose as fast most likely but trust me it will come off!

HW- 288 SW- 265 CW- 215 5’8 It is strange to me because the people that say it mostly know I have had wls. I’m no where near my goal and still have lots of weight to lose. I am a little pale but not what I would consider sickly pale.
  7. It’s definitely a roller coaster ride that I felt like I would never get off of but you will and you’ll look back and know you stressed for no reason. Keep your head up!
  8. I was also told to stay the same weight or not lose more than 5 lbs during my 6 months. I honestly just lived the same way and tried to keep my calorie intake and exercise the same so I wasn’t losing weight. My second to last month I gained a few pounds and the final month I really watched what I ate and exercised more and lost the few pounds I gained the prior month and a couple pounds more. I definitely understand the stress of it but it will all be worth it when you get your approval!

    Energy level

Not sure the exact time I started feeling more energetic but I’m 3 months post op and used to spend every night and weekend just sitting around the house sleeping and watching tv. Now I am out every single weekend and I’m at the gym or walking every night. Definitely have more energy even though I don’t really feel the “difference”.
