  1. My doc said between 3-9 months. The dietician recommended adding hydrolyzed collagen powder to my shakes. Hopefully it helps! I’m at month 5 and it’s all coming out!
  2. Starting weight of 280. Bypass on 1/31/18. I’m down 70 lbs, but it has slowed wayyyy down.
  3. It took me about a week to get rid of the gas and go #2. I was super uncomfortable too!
  4. Ok so I am 5 months post-op from bypass and my hair is falling out like crazy. The dietitian said it’s Norma from 3 to 9 months post op and recommended I start adding a hydrolyzed collagen powder to my shakes to slow the hair loss. I looked it up and there are sooo many options! Has anyone found a powder they recommend?
  5. Abdominal binder! I wore it about a week at home too. I bought one, but i came out of the OR with one on. But definitely helps keep your tummy from not moving so much
  6. I had rny and was originally given 6 weeks off. I had complications at week 4 and was extended an additional 4 weeks, so 10 weeks total Heaviest 280 Surgery 1/31 270 Current weight 225
  7. I had wine about 6 weeks out. I’m 10 weeks now, and still can’t have mixed drinks because of the sugar. I get very nauseous. I do good with wine though
  8. I had this at week 4. I went to the doc and he sent me straight back to the hospital. He said it was a stricture. The stricture did not show up on a cat scan. I had an endoscopy and they had to put a balloon in to dilate it so I can eat. Can take two or three dilation for it to be fixed. I started unable to keep food down, then soups, then I was unable to even keep water.

  10. I had bypass on 1-31 and I’ve had the hardest time keeping anything down the last couple of days, even water. I’m not vomiting, but after I drink, everything just comes back up. It’s super uncomfortable! I’m going to contact the doc in the am but has anyone else experienced it? I did some research and possibly a stricture, but who knows
  11. I was just going to post on this. I think o have the same thing. I’m going to contact my doc in the am. I can’t even keep down water now. I’m not vomiting, it just comes back up and is extremely uncomfortable!
  12. I’m on week 4, and mine still hurt a bit. Especially when I bend over to pick something up. They also still have a small hardness under them
  13. I’m 2 weeks post op and today starting getting pretty bad upper right abdominal pain. Anyone else? Just started today but pretty painful, and I was virtually pain free yesterday
  14. Any recommendations on gummy vitamins?
  15. I’m 3 days post op and I have quite a bit of pain on that left side too. I tried eating cream of wheat and could only get 2 bites down
  16. Ya the pain is getting better. But as soon as I take a single sip or a single bite of something. I feel so stuffed!! Not sure how I’m going to get all the protein in
  17. I had bypass 2 days ago and I can’t get anything down. I have so much air in my belly and I’ve been walking like crazy, but it’s not moving!feels like I’m going to pop if I take a sip of something [emoji15]
  18. My doc ok’d me to eat soup as soon as I get home from the hospital, as long as it’s puréed
  19. I work 2 jobs, one in a busy ER. I asked for 4 weeks, and he gave me 6
  20. I’m on day 3 of liquid diet. The hardest was no caffeine. Today is the first day I feel functionable, so hopefully it is the start of it getting of easier and my body accepting this culture shock [emoji5]
  21. How long after surgery til you can actually shower?
  22. Oh man I can only have 4 protein shakes and as many veggies as I want
  23. I’m scheduled for Jan 31 too and start my pre op diet tomorrow [emoji847]
