  1. I was sleeved on 4/16. so far so good. I have lost 50 lbs since surgery and almost 100 lbs since January. I have stalled once for a few days, but I just kicked up the cardio and got over that hump. I am trying to focus on getting all my protein in and staying hydrated, which for me can sometimes be a challenge. a lot of times I feel like I can't drink enough water.
  2. I had my surgery on April 16th and I am on my week long clear liquids also. I have had to use a spirometer also. I had to use it every two hours while in the hospital, then at least 4 times a day once I got home. It is a nuisance, but like you I can tell a difference in using it.
  3. I am also day 2 post op and my gas pain is much worse, but so far nothing unbearable. The gas release drops they area giving me are helping.
  4. I had my surgery today. So far so good. Been up to use the restroom and walk a couple of times now. Had some gas pain, but nothing terrible. My stomach is a little sore, like from doing crunches , but not so bad I can take it Everything went well. I did not have a hiatal hernia, so I was lucky in that regard.
  5. Tomorrow is my day. I have to be at the hospital at 8 am. I am excited and nervous. I have been doing a diet for the last couple of weeks, but today it is clear liquids only. I think it is mental, but I am starving. haha. I haven't been hungry the while dieting till today.
  6. My surgery is on April 16th (less than one week). I had my pre-op appointment today. I am really excited. THe nervousness has subsided for now, I am in the mode of "let's get this over with" but I am sure this weekedn the nervousness will return. Good luck to everyone!
  7. I agree with the flying comfortably part. We love to travel so I'll be happy with that. One of my bucket lists items has been zip lining. So when i get to my goal, my wife and I are going to go somewhere like Costa Rica and do that. Playing soccer with my son (for longer than 10 minutes)
  8. I am also April 16th. I agree the clear liquid drinks are very sweet. I have to water them down. I generally make two bottles out of one. although you have to drink both to get all the protein..haha
  9. I am in the same boat. I am going in for a sleeve on April 16th and while I'm so excited to stat a new chapter in my life, i am scared as hell also. I am trying to do what others have said and just focus on the positives. Good luck!
