  1. Hi all I'm Kristen, if you're in the Insta wls community you may know me as @survive.sleeve.slay myself and @emilyamvsg cohost a podcast called Mom's Spaghetti. We don't just talk about weight loss surgery, but really about weight struggles and successes and failures in general. We do approach the topics with a humorous perspective, because it's who we are. I am a little over a year out from vsg, Emily is 6.5 years out, so we are in very different places in the surgery timeline. I wanted to invite you all to listen, we're going on Instagram live 3/24/19 at 7 central, stop in and say hi, let us know what you think and give us suggestions on topics you want us to cover. Hope to see you there! Kristen

  7. Ugh, I know. It's a nightmare to get up without using your stomach muscles. I have been using an ice pack on that incision. It's definitely the worst one. I'm finally able to shower today so I'm trying to work up the energy to do that. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I am post op day three. It's so surreal. I put up my vlog on YouTube from surgery day and the day after (yesterday). I'll be filming again today if I can get up and shower. I wasn't expecting this much pain. Seems like everyone smoothed over that. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. March 5thers, how are you doing? This sucks a little, right? Lol Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. This pre op diet is a challenge. I mean. I haven't had any carbs intentionally in 9 days, but I haven't followed it exactly. I have eaten more protein and veggies than I'm supposed to but I've also been sick for almost all of it and it's been miserable. I want all the carbs. In 9 days I've lost 8 pounds. I can relate when you say it doesn't seem real. Like I have been having so much trouble believing this is actually going to happen. So while I'm disappointed that I haven't been super strictly following 100 percent, I'm trying to remember I have cut out all refined carbs, sugars and caffeine. That's a lot! 17. Premier shakes are good. The best one is caramel in my opinion but banana is good too. Almost all chocolate protein shakes taste the same to me, so I'm sure it's fairly standard. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. I ordered Unjury shakes today. They have chicken soup flavored protein shakes. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
