  7. Oh yeah- I have another couple of ideas..1. sweet potatoe and coconut soup.. Just fry lightly one chopped onion, add three or 4 peeled chopped sweet potatoes and cover with water.. cook till soft and add can of coconut cream or milk (hide a bit of your protien powder in there and blend out the lumps in a blender.. salt and pepper to taste.. yummy! :tongue2: 2. We have something called 'inocente smoothies' here in UK -Sure you habe something similar (?) and they do kids lunch box ones in tubes like cartons.. Well they freeze into the most amaxing slushies and are full of vvitamins and have about 100 caloreies.. I reckon they are a winner for the summer!! M x:biggrin2:
  8. I've made a lamb stew, with carrots, lamb chops , onions, and some white beans- given hubby all the meaty bits and strained the juicey soupy bits and watered down with a lamb stock cube.. very tasty.. (?)
  9. Wow- some list! (its exciting isnt it?).. wish I could think of a funky 'July' name for the group... I'm racking my brain.... 'The long hot summers'?-THLS'S? ... 'The shrinking violets'? (has that been used before?)... 'Bikini or bust'? 'Summer sisters'?..... M x

  11. Hope you are listening to the wisdom ... You may have something detached, slipped or blown- You MUST go back to the Dr that banded you or at least to an after-care provider for some proffessional advice- please .. do it! M x

  18. Hi everyone I live in the SW of England, did loads of research, and have decided to go to see the Boys in Brugge (Dr Dillemans) . Have also found an aftercare package for 12 mnths for £699 to include absolutely everything, with the WLS group- I am travelling alone to belguim and am just staying 1 extra night and coming back alone as well- I am looking forward to it all.. I did loads of research befor i made my decision- I'd love to hear from anyone who would like to chat... I'm a relative light wieght with a BMI of 34 and I know I'd never get a Uk Dr to be happy to band me- but I'm looking for prevention rather than cure... I dont want to wait.. I want to start my new life ASAP.. Great forum.. hope to hear from you..
  19. Hi to everyone I've been reading for ages, researching etc- I had committed once, but then had second thoughts cos I was off sick with a slipped disc (high up, almost between shoulder blades)- Then I just thought what the heck- I might just have it done, have a couple more weeks off and then go back as the new me..! so It's done now and my date is the 9th July with the Brugge boys!... I'm going through the saying 'goodbye' to certain food's stage and realising that actually, many of them I'm not going to miss at all! (Pizza- Yuck!) I have been having a laugh with some close friends over the fact that I love Cava (the drink) and they have come up with the solution of opening a bottle hours earlier, so I can possibly drink it flat! beer, I wont miss- (except on a realy hot sunny day- which we dont get often) Anyway- I live in SW England- I'm travelling alone to Belguim, I'm 43 and a Social worker by proffession, and I'm really pleased to meet you all.....
  20. Hi Guys- good to read your forum- I'm in the UK- southwest England and am hoping to be able to persuade the clinic in Belguim to band me through the 'surgery abroad 'guys.. My BMI is only 33.9 at the moment but I am so ready for the whole life change and I know my wieght is already having a negative affect on my health.. I just either go up in wieght or stay the same if trying to diet- losses just dont seem part of the deal any more (age 43)- and I've never been my ideal wieght- I'd just like to experience it- once !
