    February Surgery Buddies!

In the past I’ve mixed ricotta with a stevia, some almond extract (you can do whatever kind of extract you want) and some cinnamon sprinkled on top. It’s a great sweet treat!

    Halo top ice cream

Chocolate almond crunch is the best I’ve tried! Not crazy about some of the others. Haven’t given it a shot post surgery, but will keep it in the back of my mind!

    February Surgery Buddies!

My vote’s for yes! You worked hard to get that weight off, you deserve to have the scale down to reflect that! I’m trying to not even concentrate on the scale, just on feeling better about myself and getting healthier! 😁

    February Surgery Buddies!

I would just count the highest as your highest... weight lost is weight lost! I just take the highest weight I’ve been within this whole process and count my weight loss from that number. You’re working hard to lose no matter when it the process it comes! Keep up the good work!

    February Surgery Buddies!

I got mine this past Friday (2/23) and the first day was the worst for me. Hopefully you’re going to be good! Walking helped the gas/stomach pains a lot so walk as much as you can, but listen to your body. Every day you feel better and better! Good luck!

Time off work and telling co-workers?

Thanks for all of the responses! I decided to take a week and see how it goes. I kept my explanation vague... “I’m having a small surgery and recovery is going to be longer than I thought it was going to be.” I didn’t get any questions asked, but maybe they’ll get raised at some point. I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it! Thanks again and good luck to all!

Time off work and telling co-workers?

Does anyone who has already had their surgery feel like you could have gone back to work earlier? I’m getting sleeved this Friday (2/23) and have a work commitment Monday and Tuesday (2/26-2/27) that I agreed to prior to booking my surgery. I didn’t really want to tell anyone at work, so I was just going to try to tough it out and go, but I’m starting to get a little nervous. I can always say I came down with something if I don’t feel up to it come Monday, but I feel like that may be worse than letting them know ahead of time. From what I’ve heard, it’s more of a mental game and getting used to the lifestyle that’s hard after surgery than not feeling well physically... any suggestions?

    February Surgery Buddies!

I’m 2/23, too! Started the pre-op diet today. Nervous but excited! Lots of February friends! We should be looking good come summer! [emoji41]
