  1. 1/10/18 I started this challenge at 242.7 Today 219.7 I wasn’t perfect but I am very pleased I made my goal. I thought I had set the bar too high and am very happy I reached the goal. I am 3 months out of surgery. I am thrilled. Ready for my next goal. Onederland!
  2. Not sure what the difference between secret and private is. I just believe it needs to be a safe non judgmental site.
  3. 1/3/18 Current weight: 220 Goal weight: 220 Hooray, I did it. I thought my goal might be unrealistic but glad I made it. I too struggle with wanting to add foods to my diet that I should not but the more I lose the easier it is to leave the bad foods alone.
  4. 12/27. 225.5 Goal 220 I wish I could use yesterday weight. I think the past couple days I had to many carbs with salt. This is just a good reminder to be careful with the carbs. I think I have been getting too comfortable with eating. I also have been fighting the urge to eat cookies. I actually went into a store to get a cookie but I pulled myself together and left without it.
  5. Merry Christmas October sleevers. Hope everyone is finding alternatives to the holiday sweets that abound right now. I think I have done quite well but have noticed I have been allowing myself more carbs. Not a habit I want to get into again.
  6. Date 12/20 226.5 Goal 220. I am happy with how things are progressing. I had been afraid my goal was out of reach but I am now starting to think I will get there.
  7. Sleeved oct. 11th. Average 700-800 a day
  8. 12/6 232.5. Only a pound for the week.
  9. I was tested beforehand. I also use to have GERD problems before my surgery and took Prilosec daily for a couple years. I have not had any problems since the surgery and I am not taking meds. I wonder if fixing a hernia during the surgery was responsible for the GERD ending. I am 2 months out.
  10. Oh Matt, sorry to hear this. All is not lost though. You are on a journey to get healthy, this is just another step in your journey. I have dealt with setbacks myself. In 2013 I thought all my health problems were because of my weight so I set about fixing myself. First was to address my sleep apnea, then I started a clinical weight loss program. 1 month into this program I was told I had a terminal cancer. Guess it wasn’t just my weight making me feel bad. Any weight loss plans or surgery were put on hold. A year of chemo and 1 stem cell transplant later I was still alive and heavier than ever due to the steroids. Finally, I got to have my weight loss surgery in October. I understand being disappointed. Remember, it’s just another step in your journey to be healthy.
  11. I would like to join in. On 11/15 I was 242.7 pounds. On 11/22 I was 239.3. Today 11/29 I am 236.7. My goal weight is to reach 220.
  12. I am excited for you. I know someone who went to Mexico and they did fine.
  13. My recovery has been easy. Almost too easy. Part of me wants this harder so it is easier to make better decisions. So if I eat a bad choice I feel sick. But I feel good, so that means I have to work harder on not making bad food choices. I had my surgery at Providence by Dr. Searles.
  14. Hi, I️ had my sleeve done on Oct. 11th, 2017. I live in Anchorage.I used to live in Eagle River. I still have not quite figured out how to use this app well. I️ think most of the posts when I query Alaska are old posts. Are you getting excited yet?
