2ndSpring, can you tell me your experience with StFrancis? I have my preop testing tomorrow but I'm more asking about the day of surgery and day after. And the GI study we have to take. Are the staff nice and compassionate? Is it private?

I saw my pulmonologist in September. He is also my PCP. I've used him for over 15 years. He was thrilled when I told him my sleeve plans. He did my physical and labs in his office. He said I dont need a sleep study. I asked the office for them to fax the lab results, his letter of recommendation and the clearance letter for the pulmonary part. I must've called the office 10 times since September begging for them to send the paperwork to the surgeon. They finally sent the labs and recommendation letter but he still hasn't sent them the pulmonary clearance. I know I'm clear but "he hasnt gotten around to writing it".I'm getting the run around everytime I call to request it. The surgeon office gets told the same thing when they call. Any ideas what I can do to get him to write the letter. This is holding my surgery date up. So frustrated.

my office told me 1199 required 5 weight ins (months). I've tried numerous times to verify that with 1199 with no luck. No one answers and no one returned my messages in the wellness department.

I have 1199 SEIU insurance. My surgeon's office just told me they won't submit paperwork to 1199 to approval until the 2nd consult/5th weight in at the surgeon's office. That won't be till around 1/15/18. 1st consult my surgeon said I needed 4 weigh ins but the secretary told me yesterday that's its 5. Any idea how long it will take 1199 to approve once they receive the request? I was REALLY hoping for a mid February surgery date. Doesn't look promising now. I know I've waited this long, it shouldnt be a big deal to wait an additional month or two but I just really want this to be done already. Thanks in advance!
