I am also switching to Blue Shield of California next month and am curious to know what the requirement was as far as medically supervised diet goes. I've heard no diet, three months, and six months. Hi Britney! I am also new to both the forum and the process! My company is switching over to Blue Shield of California next month. I have my consultation with a surgeon tomorrow! What were your requirements for approval with Blue Shield? Was a physician supervised diet required? If so, for how long? I am super excited to start the journey but am also worried because I am in the running for a new job sometime next year, meaning my insurance will be changing AGAIN and I want to have the surgery beforehand so I don't have to keep restarting supervised diets. Anyway, congrats on your new approval! How are you feeling post surgery!?
