  1. Ugh I am right there with you . I never realized how much the chewing and textured mattered . I spoke to my Nutritionist about this today. It’s challenging and it has been messing with me on an emotional level that I didn’t expect. Nice to know I’m not alone in this.
  2. I had my sleeve on the 10th the first two day very nauseous and barely walked to the bathroom. But today I walked 1,617 steps (using a fit bit to help keep track of my progress) . You definitely need to stay hydrated first and try to just push yourself a little more each day even if it’s just walking back and forth in your house. Today was the first day I left my apartment. Took my dog for a short walk and dragged my teenage son with me just in case I got weak. Best of luck to you in your recovery.
  3. Your so right . I need to just focus on this stage I’m in and not worry about moving to the next until I am physically ready. Genpro is the one I have so mybe later I will try it in my tea or broth I may prefer it warm. Thanks for all the advice . I’m a Little soar from my walk to gnc so I’m going to take my pain medication and try to nap.
  4. Thanks , I’ll look into this.
  5. Sleeve on 11/10/17 Day 5 post op getting about 52oz of liquid and force feeding myself 30grams of protein (dr. Wants me to get 60gram) I emailed him and he is extending my liquid diet until I can get all the protein. Any good protein out there . I have tried Isopure, gnc lean shakes both powder and pre made drinks and also medical grade flavorless all of them make me gag and dry heave . I feel like I’ve worked so hard over the past 7 months to get to this point and I just want something that’s tolerable I am now beginning struggling emotionally with not meeting the requirements. Any advise ??
  6. No I didn’t have a cough or fever . I had a soar throat and head cold . I used the dissolvable tables as well as the zicam nasal spray . I was told that a cough and a fever could be reasons to cancel. I hope you recover quickly !!
  7. Ohh what a relief. Thanks .

  10. I used zicam . I recovered very quickly and it didn’t interfere with my Sugeiry.
  11. Omg yes I noticed on my preop diet . Every show also, their either in the supermarket shopping for food or making food or eating in every show. I feel like it’s teasing me .
  12. So today is my third day post op. I was sleeved on 11/10. My surgery was scheduled for 6 pm however my surgeon was apparently running behind, which of course made me anxious. My surgery started at 8:17 pm and need at 9:41 . I did not have a hernia. The next two days were hard for me once I was awake and drinking water but there was a lot of nausea, gas pain and dry heaving. I just felt so delirious and all I wanted to do was sleep. I ended up staying 2 nights instead of 1 for monitoring . Today is day three and I am feeling about 60% back to normal. Minor soreness . I am able to sip the water with out any issue and the popsicles are life saviors but I’m struggling with the protein. Any advice ? HW- 230 SW- 230 GW- 150
  13. Good luck on starting again !!That is a smart approach. I didn’t prepare at all and did my liquid only sugar free caffeine free preop diet from one day to the next and have had a miserable headache, nausea and light headed. Hopefully this subsides after surgery.
  14. That’s probably what I would do . Work, work, work. Keep your mind busy . Plus then your coworker will owe you one.
  15. Okay that makes me feel better . I guess even if it stay at 6pm ..... tonight’s the night . I am so excited I can’t wait . About to get up and pack my hospital bag.
