  1. I flew a few days after my surgery, and everything was fine. My surgeon tried to discourage me because of the risk of dvt. I told her I have to go out of town, I didn’t have a choice. She ok’d it as long as I gave myself Lovenox shots, which she gave me a prescription for. Just request and aisle so you can move your legs, take the shots a few days before and after, and every hour get up and walk to the bathroom and back.
