  1. I could probably do this as well at 4 months post op. You've got to think that your stomach empties out around 30-45 minutes after eating. I only know this because I've thrown up within that time period and it was nothing but the notorious foamies. Therefore, yes you could continue eating with breaks for hours on end. The surgery only limits the amount that you can eat in a single setting. 3 hours is NOT a single setting. I'd be very careful with how you proceed gong forward. Its the same thing with drinks with calories.... you could drink your weight right back on.
  2. And it tastes better than real meat. I'm hooked!
  3. It's my understanding that the hair loss comes during the next natural shedding cycle . Everyone sheds at the end of the "telogen" phase, which is approximately every 3-4 months. it depends on when your surgery is with correlation to your next telogen phase, as to when you will experience hair loss. Mayo Clinic indicates that this is hair included in this phase are "scalp and longer for hairs on the eyebrow, eyelash, arm, and leg". Therefore, I'm not sure if beard hair is included. I honestly don't know if beard hairs shed. Hope this helps. https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/hair-loss/science-hair#2
  4. I brought my iPad and I had a TV in my room, but I didn't touch either one the whole time I was there, which was 5 days. I was up walking the halls or sleeping. It's not a bad idea, but I'd def have your brother in law hold onto that until you get to your room.
  5. They put my stuff in the bottom of my bed and I was moved to the same bed after the operating table, which followed me to the recovery and my room. I'd say to empty out your wallet of all but necessary things. I wouldn't leave any cash or credit cards. You can even just have a wristlet with your insurance card and drivers license.
  6. I've been using bio oil for the last few weeks and I also see a big difference. Thanks for sharing. It's relatively cheap too for most skin care products. I normally have really dry skin and now my face is smooth as can be.
  7. thank you! I appreciate it. I'll be rooting for you too
  8. I'm having a garage sale at the end of the month with another woman. I will take pictures of everything setup in my garage right now. It is insane when you think its clothes from only 2 women. I'm almost embarrassed I had so much stuff. But I'm proud to be getting rid of it because I'm too small for them. (Unlike her who has the opposite problem ) For years I had to keep buying up and up. I kept ahold of clothes thinking I'd one day loose the weight. Little did I know that I'd have WLS and loose so fast I wouldn't need all those clothes I kept. I'll take pictures tonight of our insane sale. Seriously over 200+ items.... and growing.
  9. Frust, @S@ssen@ch is right about her description of food aversion. I used that word too flippantly. Honestly, mine was just a mere lack of appetite for the longest time. When you aren't hungry, you aren't going to have a taste for anything and things may even look unappealing. But the suppressed appetite doesn't last forever, so it's important to embrace that. The key thing is to get all your protein in during this suppressed phase. You almost have to force yourself to stay on track with eating throughout the day. It may be a challenge to get all the food in with restriction, but also with a lack of appetite.
  10. Thank you! That means a lot coming from you! You are one of my role models
  11. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayer's.
  12. I feel the same way, about it being too good to be true. But I'd be happy to loose another 70lbs. Loosing 200lbs excess for me puts me at 130lbs, which is what I should be at for a healthy BMI. Realistic, I don't know, but time will tell.
  13. I’ve got about 200lbs excess. 110lbs more to go.
  14. I also take ProCare but I take the capsules now that I cans swallow pills. It’s $45 for a 90 day supply on Amazon.
  15. Dinner tonight is “chicken” flatbread pizza. The chicken is Gardein meatless brand and made from soy and pea protein(made without the teriyaki sauce). Both have fat free ranch as the sauce. Mine has cherry tomatoes and red onion caramelized in balsamic vinegar. My husbands has bacon, the real kind. Topped with fat free mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  16. My food aversion ended at approximately 8 weeks post op. During those first 8 weeks, I felt like food was a menace. I ate out of necessity. If I hadn't lost very quickly, I would have been completely miserable. But, one week I went to the grocery store and all the sudden I had a taste for certain things again. I also looked up a lot of recipes to try.
  17. Although my relationship isn't struggling, we've both noticed a change and have had to embrace the differences. I hope you are doing OK and it will only make you stronger.
  18. I felt insensitive when I posted about women's swimsuits to the guy who was asking about a swim shirt. But it was one of those things that I couldn't tell his gender and I was on the app. I couldn't see what kind of room it was in. But not on purpose and I'm not real sensitive about that kind of stuff. Just felt bad for him.
  19. On this topic, @Alex Brecher I have embarrassingly posted in a "guys only" room about the topic of swimsuit options, nonetheless. It would be great to see what kind of room it is in from the app. I could see having a room for weight specific people, 300#, 200#, 100#, ect. It's just the same as Veteran's rooms. The vet's have typically already lost the weight. What's the difference if you wanted to only talk with someone who's close to you in weight. I don't think its offensive, unless people make it offensive. Sometimes I like to reach out to people close to my BMI so I can bounce ideas off them. My BMI was 58.8 when I started, someone that started at 40 couldn't possibly relate as much as someone in my range. I get that we are all on a journey, but some of us have a lot longer paths. Its good to have a variety of inputs for sure, but when you want to, it would be beneficial to have a room to limit the responses to specific people. Same way as the gender specific rooms. Guys want guys only inputs once in awhile.
  20. That's great! I keep waiting for the scale to stop moving, but it hasn't so far. I'm almost 4 months post op.
  21. Is insurance paying for your arm lift also?
  22. WOW! Such a big difference! Congrats!
  23. I'm sure you will be OK. I'd ask your surgeon if there is any doubt. But congrats, and good luck tomorrow!
