  1. Thank you, I never knew about the cinnamon, I'll try that. I have been taking iron every day, but I didn't know about taking it with vitamin C for the absorption, great info! Thanks again, also today (day 3 of period) I didn't feel dizzy at all so that made me happy.
  2. (Sorry for the long post) Hi ladies, I have a question about menstrual period and dizziness. Today I'm 5 weeks post-op gastric sleeve. I had a little of a rough start, regrets, readmission for dehydration, pain with eating and drinking, but I've been talking with my doc and support groups and they tell me these will pass, and I'm seeing some small improvements everyday. On Friday I started my period and it's my first since surgery and it made me severely dizzy so much so that I was holding the walls going to the bathroom, this morning the same, it's when I first wake up and if I bend over, then the dizziness isn't as bad as the day goes by. I have a history of heavy periods before surgery, I have fibroids. My hemoglobin was normal 2 weeks post-op with my PCP, and I'm taking my vitamins regularly. I'm managing 60-80gms of protein and about 50mls of water, but only about 500 cal of food.....its a struggle. I was wondering if the blood thinners I took fo 14 days post-op has anything to do with it. I never experienced is dizziness before, and it's kind of freaking me out, has anyone else?
  3. Yes, it was heavy, I've tried the pill and an IUD prior to my surgery but both didn't work out for me. I just deal with the heavy flow, but I never experienced the dizziness until after surgery with this first period post-op, which scared me.
  4. I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow, it's better now, and I'm trying to drink more, thanks for your post.
  5. I agree, I was wishing the same thing, I think we will pull this off though, these posts are helpful.
  6. Yes, I have been so weak, but I've talked to my surgeon's office and they tell me everything I'm feeling is normal. Just push the fluids.
  7. Yes, today I had a quarter sized stool, I was told no caffeine, so no to coffee, I'm still having a struggle with hydration and pain with everything I try to take in
  8. Yes, I think so too, I just took some pain meds and I feel a little better. Everyone I've been talking to tells me this will pass and it will get better.
  9. Yes, a sharpe cramp like pain at my breast bone and through to my back, it hurts so bad I don't want to take in any liquids. Even the slightest anout of water will do it, and then it comes in waves, I'm pretty miserable right now. Yes, I do too, my surgery was Oct. 16 at 7:30 I was fine in the hospital, but last night the pain and nausea were rough. I called my doctor and he said because I was
  10. Me either Maryg, it's been a struggle getting my fluids, at least the nausea is gone. The pain is so bad, but everyone says the pain will pass. Looking forward to then. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I had my sleeve surgery Oct 16, at 7:30, I came home yesterday, but I should have stayed an extra night, cause my pain and nausea were really bad. I even called my doctor last night I was hurting so bad. He said as long as I'm keeping what little I take in down it would get better. Doing a little better today. But every sip whether it be pain meds, water, etc. it causes my stomach to grurle, then a sharpe pain, which goes away pretty quick and then a constant ache.
