    Wollongong or close?

Sorry haven't been on, had my sleeve done, and feeling pretty alright, first day back at work today. I have never experienced anxiety but know of those who do, it can be quite debilitating, so going through something like this without a good support network can be quite tough, hope your looking upwards

Yeah I have to learn to eat slowly, I usually scoff my food down...definitely won’t be doing that...never been a fan of spicy food so that would be too much of an issue. Wow that’s good about not having much pain. Have read about the gas in the shoulders etc. ahh will Keep that in mind thanks! No I don’t have Instagram just Facebook, I have heaps of support from family but yeah not from anyone who has gone through it.

I will be in Wollongong Private too with Dr Chau on 27/11. How are you finding eating such smaller portions?

Hey! im getting sleeved soon in Wollongong who was your surgeon?
  5. Hi I am getting sleeved on the 27th of November, and would be interested in catching up after surgery, I'm in Wollongong but happy to travel
  6. Hello I'm due to be sleeved on the 27th of November...eek... so can't quote actuals but: Company: Peoplecare Level of Cover: Mid Hospital and Premium Extras Excess: $500 Cost: $44.99 per week after the rebate and I am 26 years old. My Surgeon (Dr James Chau in NSW) doesn't have a gap but charges a fee which is not covered by PHI of $3500, this includes all the dietician fees and follow ups and consultations etc. There is also the anaesthetist fee which is about $1600 and not sure if there is any Medicare rebate on that. I have also spent money on other things like the optifast shakes, vitamins, a fitbit, scales and a food processor...so there are other costs that I'm out of pocket for, some necessary, some not. Hope this helps
  7. Hey! First time posting on here, just seeing if there is anyone else from the Wollongong area getting sleeved soon, my date is scheduled for the 27th November and first dietician appointment on the 14th November! All happening so fast, since first consultation with the surgeon was only Sept 26th eek Nervous about the pre-op diet, as I really like food (and not so much shakes)... Cheers
