  1. I hear you! I can't even keep all of my water down yet and I'm still missing food! Has anyone else noticed how every other commercial on TV is for food? It's become a running joke in our house! I can't wait until I'm able to eat yogurt or SOMETHING!
  2. Thanks! That's good to know. I've had a few other surgeries and never experienced this much discomfort. I'll keep hoping it goes away!
  3. I'm 4 days post op and constantly feel like I have a pill or something stuck in my throat. I'm barely able to get my minimum water down and it's not necessarily painful, just uncomfortable. Did anyone else experience something similar?
  4. Have you been allowed to go home yet? They won't let me leave until I drink a lot more... and I miss home!
  5. Had my surgery on Tuesday and everything went well. I really had no pain from the surgery but I cannot sip water AT ALL. The first two days of just came straight back up. Has anyone experienced that? Now I can take a sip and keep it down but I feel painfully full. They're not letting me get home until I get through four cups an hour. I have no idea how to do that!
  6. I've kept mine secret as well so I totally get it. It's no ones business. I expect people will eventually get nosey and ask so I plan to laugh it off and say "I don't eat any more!!" [emoji23] good luck on the 8th. I'm going in on the 7th! You'll be in my thoughts!
  7. How's your pain level? I think the first night is what I'm most worried about!
  8. Wow good for you!!!! Just think of it this way... you've got a jump on me with the weight loss!!! Keep strong! [emoji1320]
  9. It's really interesting how much the pre op diet varies from surgeon to surgeon. I'm only required to do no carbs for the first 4 days and then liquids for 3 days prior to surgery. I'll count myself lucky to only have to do 3 days of liquid [emoji23]
  10. Just think of food as the jerkiest ex ever I'm right there with ya!
  11. Haha! I'm so glad you told me! I travel with a lot of shoes!!! [emoji12] it could get interesting!
  12. Thank you so much! Im glad to hear it. I haven't told anyone in the office. I'll make sure to pre-plan my meals!!!
  13. I'm scheduled for surgery on 11/7 and my job has scheduled a work trip for 12/6-12/8. Was wondering if anyone who has had the surgery could tell me if its crazy to plan travel a month after surgery? Or will I still be feeling pretty wonky?
  14. I've been told it is not an issue if there isn't dramatic weight gain. Most people fluctuate 5 pounds in a day so I would not worry about it. If insurance gives you trouble see if you have an employee assistance program or advocacy service through your provider that might help. They've been a huge asset for me
  15. November 7th in Texas! Best of luck to you!!
