  2. Hello everyone, :wink2: I have been a member of this forum before i even knew i was having the surgery, but something inside me told me it was going to happen.. and it did!!! I just had surgery this past monday 8-25-08 and have been healing well. I am a little sore but i am soaring in the sky knowing that i have so many goals and soon nothing can stand in the way of them!! I topped out at 608 pounds, and at the time of surgery i weighed 583. Any tips or ideas suggestions or advice would be very much appreciated! I am really just so happy to know there is a place where people can get together and chat about this. I am going to keep exploring, keep being faithful, and definetly know that everything will be wonderful and healthy here on out!!! Thanks Briana:thumbup:
  3. Hi and congrats on making this decision. I was just banded this last monday and i too was nervous and scared. I have also be overweight all my life becoming morbidly obese at a very young age. What really worked for me was making a list of goals and things that i wanted to in my life that was exciting for me. It helped me to know that even though it is going to change my whole life ( which is was scared me the most) it was changing it for the better!!! Good luck and please feel free to contact me
  4. Congrats on your surgery. I too just had surgery this past monday 8-25-08, and am feeling the same nervousness about making the transition into regular foods. I think as long as we keep in mind to eat slow and smll amounts everything will be good!! again congrats !!!!!!
