  1. I had my surgery on 9/5. I prepared for this for one year. Nothing could Have prepared me for the recovery period. I planned on staying one night in hospital, and ended up staying three nights. My surgery was on Wednesday morning and I went home Saturday night. As I am writing this, I feel pretty good, and each day I feel that I am getting better and stronger. Day two I was vomiting blood, and for the remainder of the days I was not able to keep one thing down. I highly recommend you staying in the hospital at least 1 to 2 nights. I know that everyone experiences things differently, and we are all different and how we recover, but for me it was a tad bit rough. I was not vomiting up fresh blood, it was all blood that was just residual from the actual surgery in my stomach, I had the VSG done by a very renowned surgeon. He is one of the best, and I completely trusted him with this entire process, and like I said, I feel better each and every day and I am so grateful to God, but please do not try and go home on the first night, stay in the hospital and let those nurses help you.
