  12. I'm new to this site. It appears there are a lot of people posting things are ridiculous like this. Sorry if you're going to make a point to call someone out you're going to get called out as well.

  16. New member here, is this site always so dramatic?
  17. OMG! So AWESOME! Great Job!!
  18. I don't know but I just ordered 6 month worth. I HATE taking vitamins and I hate the chewable ones more! I first read about the patches on a post here. They can be purchased through this site and have patches that cover all the things we need that you listed above. I've not heard anything negative about the quality and the price is pretty good.

  23. Have you tried the vitamin patches and if so what did you think? I'm pre-op and trying to get organized. I've been sampling vitamins but to be honest, most are fruit flavored and I hate fruit! Why would you, or why would you not use them again?

  26. I have gone through the majority of the process I still need to get an EKG and a sleep study done I have not sent my date yet. Thank you for your friendship, I would love to be your buddy!
  27. My insurance covers it however I already have $1600 out of pocket (copays and surgeon fees, etc). Thank goodness I have an HSA that we set up years ago. The kids may have to go without braces in 5 years but at least it's getting used!
  28. I'm in the same boat. While I like my coworkers; it's none of their business. I'm sure they will talk when the weight starts to come off... I'm not telling anyone aside from my husband and my best friend who lives across the globe. I'm not a social butterfly and all of our family lives far away. People will think what they want and personally WLS arguments or negative opinions are not something I care to tackle. I would like to find a WLS buddy to confide in before my surgery though...
  29. BCBS of Maryland requirements: BMI over 40 or 35 with a co-morbidity Psych eval and proof of 6 month structured dieting. My surgeon also required: attend a lecture attend at least 2 support groups meet with their NUT at least 3 times (more if needed for the 6 month diet requirement) lab/blood work a personal letter (to him) requesting the surgery and why upper endoscopy Sleep study Chest x-ray ultrasound of lower legs Pulmonary clearance (PFT) Cardiology Clearance to include EKG Pre-op blood work Still working on these. I started Sept 28, I have almost all done and all scheduled.

  31. Thank you very much for responding, that makes sense now. I have not been approved yet. My doctor wanted to wait to see if I had any co-morbidity conditions like sleep apnea, etc. I still have a month to go before I have my sleep study then he will go for the approval.
  32. My BMI is 40.1, my NUT said I can't lose any weight before surgery (which has not been scheduled yet). I have gone through all but 3 out of the 17 requirements from my doctor. (EDG, sleep study and a cardiology clearance are left) How do I maintain my current weight with the 2 week pre-op diet coming up? I have BCBS CareFirst of MD.. they require a BMI over 40 unless I have a pre-existing condition.Insert other media
