  1. I did manage to lose a lot of time from work I really think it depends on your doctors office and when they can schedule things like upper GI's etc- some of the tests done at the hospital took me out of work for hte morning or the afternoon- I never told my family until the week before surgery I didn't want the extra pressure of them being worried- I am taking a week of vacation as well. Surgery date for me is May 19th have to be at the hospital at 6:45 am.
  2. Today is day one on this 10 day liquied diet- surgery is 5/19 I can have Atkins shakes Tomato Soup Sf pudding Low fat milk, Sf apple sauce Water SF popsilcles I have a major headache today due to not having my daily pepsi I'm sure. (
  3. I too and scheduled for 5/19 and today is my first day on the 10 day liquid diet, and I have questioned this decision for the past few weeks, but I know its something that needs to be done for my health I have twin grand sons and I want to be around to see them grow they are only 18 months old. No food is going to taste as good as healthy feels - you can do this. Hugs and the best to everyone.:biggrin2:
  4. I live in Saint Albans Vermont- surgery is scheduled for May 19th- I am so excited I can bearly stand it- I start the liquid diet on Friday the 9th!
  5. May 19th is my Lap Band day and its been a year coming this month I am so excited to have it done-
  6. Wow how exciting I can't wait until I'm post op!
  7. I went to the first informational meeting in May 07- was given a packet, dr.s office called and made an appointment for me 4 weeks later- on that day I met the doctor, the nutriouist andt he psychologist! I was told what tests I would need and than waited patiently to get them done- It was hell on my job taking that kind of time off. it is now 3/30/08 and today I got the letter saying the surgery is approved via my insurance so all in all it has been a long 10 months but so worth it.
