  1. Ok - I've shared the story privately with Beth and will send to Ebony - anybody else wants to hear it (and you're a regular) then I'll send it your way as well. Night!
  2. Beth - congrats on the 229 - hang in there. I am a little delirious - supposed to get off at 0715 (HA!!) I clocked out at 10:52 - BAD NIGHT! There was actually a story I was going to share - but have decided it is too gross to put out for general viewing. Have a great day all!
  3. ok - so I just checked the pb2 (bell plantation) website for grins - and they do have a locator to see where you can get it in your area - guess what - my normal grocery store carries :Dancing_wub: guess I'll stop there in the morning (definitely glad I didn't pay for fast shipping then - feel a little bad for doing it anyway)
  4. I ordered it through amazon - but there were several sites that offered that brand and they were all really similar in regards to pricing/shipping - I'm excited to try it - kinda wish I had expedited shipping (not the most patient person )
  5. Monday: one of my >24 hr days B: activia light, babybel S: sf popsicles, 2 sf fudgesicles (different times) L: 1 c. roasted red pepper soup w/ asiago S: 2 oz cheddar D#1: mocha latte protein shake D#2: 1/2 c. black bean soup w/ cheddar and sf, ff chocolate pudding it's only 0330 - and will probably be up till 1000 - if needed might have another activia.
  6. I hate to state the obvious but let's have another life's lesson from my place of employment: 1) It is not ok, when you're bored at a party to start shooting wildly into the air just to see what people do. 2) It is also not ok, if you live down the street from said party and "want to have some fun" to take out your guns and start shooting at the people running from the first shooting. 3) And it is definitely not ok, if you run out of bullets, to then hog tie some poor kid running by and beat the living crap out of him just because he laughs at you for running out of bullets that's all!
  7. That's the brand i bought - hope I love it too! Have also been using a walden farms chocolate syrup that cracks me up - sf, ff and actually calorie free (it's made from defatted cocoa powder - tastes like hersheys to me. what will they think of next!
  8. Lulu- glad timing worked out for you - hope you feel better soon!
  9. Some of you may be aware of this already - but I stumbled onto something on the internet - powdered peanut butter - they have basically dehydrated it - which takes out most of the oil. People seem to love it and you can add it to anything for flavoring. THE BEST PART 2 TBLS IS ONLY 50 CALS. I of course haven't tasted it yet - so who knows - I'll let you all know what I think - anyone else tried it?
  10. Most of the grocery stores around here carry them - but I prefer to get them at Whole Foods - much more reasonable. I go in spurts as to how often I use butter - but if I am sauteing something - nothing beats the taste!
  11. irish and other european butters are almost identical - my favorite is plugra or the kellygold irish. There is a really good american 'european style' butter - from the Straus creamery. Beth - very high butterfat percentage - so ultra rich, smooth and creamy!
  12. I whole heartedly agree - real bacon all the way! LOVE IT! oh - and butter too (pretty partial to salted and I really like european)
  13. linro - Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test
  14. Beth - that sounds amazing - my way to cook! Fanny - sorry you're cold! It's no fun to be uncomfortable no matter what the situation - I'm a little nervous about getting cold myself this winter - and I no longer have any winter clothes that fit me - I love the weight loss but my word it gets expensive!
  15. G4E - hysterical! Hope your dreams are better tonight - who knows what mine will be like - I've been watching the first 6 episodes of Tru Blood season 1
  16. SO I think I might have some swelling from my poor choices in drunken eating - I have been pretty tight today. Wasn't hungry at all this am - finally made myself try to eat something a little after noon - but it took almost an hour to be able to eat 2/3 c. pureed soup - Better tonight but still tight - might do liquids for a couple days (pretend like I'm back on the 5dpt) late B: 2/3 c. pureed black bean soup S: sf popsicle L: grande light java chip frappachino S: several sf popsicles D: 3/4 c. black bean soup w/ 0.7 oz white cheddar diced in
  17. 2nd that lulu - so the day started good yesterday -knew it might not end that way since we were going out. Thought we were going out to dinner before drinking - apparently not (fortunately had a muscle milk light protein bar in my purse) so one would think - well that's not so bad. until we mention how many mojitos I drank down - I'm not sure. so then when we're going to the next bar at 01:30 - everyone's really hungry and we stop at (please insert own version of scary/suspenseful music) --- burger king - i haven't had fast food (other than one failed attempt at a tb meximelt) in 8-10 months. I had a couple chicken fries and a couple regular fries - what makes it even worse - although everything stayed down I could tell when I should have stopped eating and I went passed it. Oh well I guess this doesn't happen that often - oh wait there's going to be a repeat on thursday - what am I 22?
  18. TODAY: day#5 of 5dpt (I wouldn't say my cravings are completely in check - but I feel more restriction for sure and I lost stubborn lbs. - the cravings I'm sure are more mental than anything) B: muscle milk lit chocolate milk S: activia light yogurt, babybel L: 2 thin slices deli turkey meat, 1 slice deli cheddar w/ a little mustard and ranch dressing S: too many sugarfree popsicles to count - thank goodness for splenda - but seriously D: going out tonight - who knows what!
  19. I am by no means an expert - i have recently started eating these as a snack when I do really big workouts (training for a marathon) For me - I look for them to have around 15 gms protein and around 160-210 cal and to not taste too much like a protein bar - some of my favorites so far are the balance bar golds, muscle milk lights and the smaller version of the oh yeah bars. have also like the kashi 'rolls'. although not as much protein - I also like the luna bars
  20. Thank you for all the encouragement - lecture went great - in fact several of the physicians came up afterwards and told me it went very well and the course director asked if I would be willing to take on more of the lectures. so thanks again - just got a pedi and going to do laundry and catch up on some tv before tonight.
  21. It got down to 55 degrees last night - windows still open from yesterday - day #2 of air conditioning not needing to run - i think we are in an alternate dimension. So I've rehearsed my lecture twice this am and will try to do it one more time before I leave - but I must go get ready. Then going out with friends tonight - have a friend in from out of town. (will try to be good :cursing:)
  22. Today: day #4 of 5dpt B: muscle milk lite chocolate milk S: sugarfree popsicle, babybel L: 2 oz fajita burger w/ roasted red pepper cheese spread & smashed avocado (1/4) S: 2 sugarfree popsicles (my saviors right now) D: 2 oz grilled Mahi w/ the best tarter sauce I made from greek yogurt  and 1 sm ear grilled corn (w/ butter :cursing:) S: either sf, ff chocolate pudding or more popsicles.
  23. Ok everybody - hang in there all of you!- I kinda feel guilty for not having any major trials in my life right now - but of course I guess you have to have a life to have trials. - Problem with being a workaholic. Lulu - although it sounds like you've already been baking up a storm - but I have a great lowfat zucchini bread recipe that doesn't taste lowfat. I grew up with large family gardens (zucchinis that looked like they were given HGH) my mom used to always make the most delicious stuffed zucchini - one had ricotta, parmesan and mozzerella w/ fresh herbs or pesto another basically the same but with sausage mixed in and topped w/ marinara and sometimes she would just toss in bread cubes, eggs, fresh herbs and parmessan - just wanted to give you some ideas to feed your army. Realized something funny tonight - was watching the local news while making dinner and saw that they were having local auditions tomorrow for the biggest loser. Now I love the show - but cracked up when I realized I was no longer a candidate b/c I didn't have 100lbs to lose :cursing: who knew being too light could be a downside.
  24. Ebony - I'm glad to hear the fighter coming out of you - sounds like you have a good plan - don't you roll over and take what they want to dole out! You go girl!
  25. 30 min on treadmill which actually included 10 min of running :scared2: will try to do some more tonight
