  1. I️ am ELATED... after 6 months of appointments with PCP and other specialist I️FINALLY HAVE MY SURGERY DATE 12/22/17. I️ couldn’t be happier and I’m screaming at the top of my lungs “Where My December Sleevers At?”
  2. Awwww I’m sorry to hear that. Call the insurance company and ask if once you’re approved how long is the approval valid for. Be careful of when your coverage resets for the next year which means you could be paying more out of pocket. In my case once I️ get an approval from my insurance company it will be valid for 2 years.

  4. I did my stress rest and needed to last for 12 mins at different intervals in order to pass and boy was it tough.... but I passed thankfully
  5. I’m on my 5th month of NUT visits and I seemed to have gained 4lbs and I’ve heard horror stories of people being denied by their insurance company for gaining weight during Pre-Op visits. I have BCBS NY and for the first 4 months I remained consistent during my weigh-ins and I don’t know where this weight came from. It could be stress since my surgery will be scheduled for Dec 2017... Has anyone gained weight during pre-op visits and was still approved? I’m freaking out and in need of answer!

  7. During my endoscopy it was revealed that I was positive for H-Pylori and had to take 3 pills twice a day for 14 days. My surgeon will not perform the surgery until it is gone. So I am required to take a stool test to ensure that the bacteria is gone. Thankfully I did my endoscopy early on in this journey
  8. Thanks. One more question do you think the gym will help with the excess skin? Meaning if I got in the gym and toned the body that it would help?!
  9. Hello I'm new to the forum and I am currently in the process of completing my prerequisites to get an approval from BCBS NY for VSG. I am 5'3" 31 years old and weigh 235 mostly bottom heavy (belly, legs, calves) and while that may not sound like a lot of weight it is especially considering my height. I'm starting to get anxiety as I haven't told anyone except my husband and a close relative because I think people will look at me crazy because I have somewhat of a curvy figure. My two biggest fears are that I will lose too much weight and it'll won't look natural and that I will have excess skin on lower body. My surgeon stated something like the elasticity in my skin will be fine but there is no guarantee and this is such a Big decision in my life. Please help any advice would be thankful
