Hey guys can I say struggles...... lol I started my preop diet today. I thought I could’ve done 3 weeks but of course I failed but I’m not this time around. I’m just starting my first drink of the day protein Isopure and I don’t like it and it won’t go down.... how am I going I do this???? I’m going to Costco to get premier protein shakes because everyone well most people seem to love those so hopefully I will too. Surgery 11/20 I don’t care how I make it but I’m going to make it! Good luck to all sleevers who are having surgery this week! I’ll be praying for everything to go great for you guys!!

i agree with this I myself have metroplus and mines didn't required supervised visit but it did require GI: Endoscopy, cardio, pulmonary, sleep study, chest x-ray, PFT because of the pulmonary, psych eval, 2 support groups and nutritionist 1 visit. But that varies per person and per state and per insurance. I would say call and ask the insurance maybe they can better help you. Also what city,state you are in?

So guys it’s a confirmation. I called insurance today and I was approved for surgery!! They gave me the date before approval but now I know this is it! I’m happy! I started my liquid diet today I am doing 3 weeks because I went crazy eating whatever. So here we go!! Day 1!

I wanted to share this with you guys. You guys might like it but it’s for after surgery when we are allowed to.

I say follow your doctor’s orders and what you feel that’s right. I myself am following my doctors Pre-op diet but I’m adding 2 extra weeks because I feel like I need to. It won’t be harmful to me in fact it will be better for my health and I believe if I do this he would have better access to my stomach. The pre-op diet that you are following is the normal pre-op diet which is what we all are doing is just the “how long” that changes. I don’t think there is a right or wrong just as long as we not going crazy eating whatever “greasy, high in fat, high in sugar” kinds of food right before surgery. That being said I am excited for all of us for making a lifestyle change to better our health.

Yayyy!!! I started mines today have to lose this excess weight I put on when I wasn’t suppose to.... we are almost there! What do you mean by eating food five times a day? I just started today and I’m having basically liquids till the day of surgery. Shakes, teas, broths, maybe I’ll add jello but I don’t know yet.....

Yay I decided to do 3 week pre-op!! Can't wait. How about you? How many weeks or days are you doing?
