  1. Wasn't bad. First 24hrs was pretty sore but was completely off pain meds 3 days out. Just make sure you walk daily and I took a gasX every day for first week and that combined with the walking helped tremendously. Only used the anti nausea melt 3x in a month and haven't even used any of the other meds at all. Don't worry. I know it's easier said than done.
  2. Did anyone start questioning surgery after having success with the preop diet?  Having success with the preop is making me wonder if I should just continue with the diet and a trainer and don't know if  this is just normal ad I should just go ahead with my date or if this is the little voice we are told to listen to.  Help

I'm steady w/ losing, but the closer I am to my goal, I'm incorporating a few new foods. The Dr. removed 85% of my stomach and he also removed the hormone that makes me crave, sometimes, I even forget to eat. Knock on wood, I've stalled in the past, but never have I gained any weight.

Heycrystal, yes. I was referring to loose skin. I don't have as much to lose as most and carry my weight proportionally as well as have good muscle mass. But don't have youth on my side and hear so many who go thru this process and still hate their bodies due to the skin issues. I'm okay though. I know I will work hard just as I have preop. Thanks for all the info. Surgery 8/9.

I had that thought too. Then I realized my motivation for sticking to starving all day pre op was to Shrink my liver for a successful surgery. Nothing else would motivate me to starve all day. We wouldn't do it. I had zero energy to work out. I was really hungry. People won't keep it up.
