  1. Congratulations! I too was banded by Dr. Mumford at the SWLC last week (04/22) and it is great to see success! Enjoy your flight:thumbup:
  2. Did you do the mushies and liquids diet for the full month like we're suppose to? I have to tell you, I am suppose to be on full liquids until tomorrow but I have moved to mashed up foods cause I can't take it anymore. I am really full really fast now and it seems to last for about 6 hours.
  3. I have tried everything in the book since I was 8 years old to loose weight. Now at 34 I am 235 pounds and have made the decision to get banded. I come from a family where hitting 300 lbs as a woman is not rare, and that scares me to death. I have my surgical consult next week and will hopefully have my surgery near the middle of May. Each and every post here has made my decision an easier one. Yes I am scared and worried, but to hear how so many people have responded so well to the procedures makes me feel better. I am newly separated and have twin 5 year olds, so the cost is going to hurt. However, I want to run around with my kids and enjoy every minute with them. Right now mommy comes home from work and naps on the couch while they watch tv or play on the computer. That's no life for them or me! But to be totally honest, I also want this for ME. I am embarking on a new life and this body just doesn't fit the person I am hoping to be - happy, confident, energized, attractive. Yay for those of you have made the decison and yay for us who are right behind you!
