  2. Good luck, everyone! I'm currently on pureed foods. Spent an extra day in the hospital because I had nausea and vomiting that was constant and wouldn't go away the first day. But now feeling well, except that I'm pretty low energy most of the time and bowel movements are... well ... difficult. Down nearly 30 pounds, though.

  4. So I'm having sleeve surgery in three days, and I'm feeling really unprepared. My weight loss was unusual, and I'm not sure how it will affect my post-op. Here's how it went: I was at 375 pounds in September and was asked to go down to 345 before I could have surgery. I lost about 20 pounds following all of the nutritionists recommendations in the next two months. Then, in December I spent three weeks in the hospital with severe pancreatitis caused by gallstones. Spent the next three months recovering until I had my gallbladder removed in February. Due to the diet and hospital stay I lost a lot of weight, by the end of the whole process in March was down to 308 pounds. As I got back on the bariatric surgery path, I haven't really been following the dietary guidelines, since I was way below the required weight (dumb... I know), so in the last couple of months, I've actually been gaining weight, leading up to the surgery. I'm now at around 318, and have surgery in three days. Starting the liquid diet tomorrow. Feeling confused, and worried. Doctor didn't think it's a big deal. Help!
  5. Three days to go before surgery! Feeling particularly unprepared.
  6. Hi everyone, I'm having gastric sleeve surgery in 3 days here in the Twin Cities. Looking for others in the area that would be available to exchange messages, support each other. Although my immediate family knows, this is definitely something that I haven't felt ready to share with friends and colleagues, who almost certainly would not understand.
  7. I'll be having gastric sleeve surgery on July 25. 2017 (3 days from now!) Looking for a sleeve buddy in the Twin Cities.
