    any June Sleevers??

I'm 2 days away from my VSG. I had to reschedule from April. So I'm excited! But I'm also nervous and scare. Oh and hungry. Lol! Tomorrow is clear liquid diet which I'm totally dreading. Any tips? Good luck to everyone.

    Very discouraged

I'd also like to point out along with what others have said that muscle weighs more than fat, and you are looking like you're building muscle and toning up great! Keep it up! Some people might drop weight faster but not necessarily be more fit. Just keep working at it and it'll keep coming off. Definitely find more than one way to measure your progress. Best wishes hun.
  4. Hello everyone! My name is Natasha. I'm new to here and looking to have the gastric sleeve done. I been going back and forth with it since 2015 and had my pcp refer me last year and am finally going for it. I went to the seminar and have my first appointment scheduled with Dr Georgescu Sept 15th. Has anyone here had him as a surgeon? Where are my CO people? Anyone have to go through the medicaid stuff here in Colorado? How was it? Any recommendations?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Every surgeon is a little different but I was approved fairly easy after the submit. Hopefully you will too.

Just work with your Drs and do everything they ask. Did you already meet with the surgeon, dietician, do the psychiatric eval and all your labs and GI scope? Mine was approved after my 6th in exactly 6 months because I did everything the Dr and program required. It seriously took a week after they submitted my paperwork to get my approval. Where are you at with everything?

Thank you! Yeah I heard about the powder milk but the sugar content scared me. Thank you so much for all your tips. I'll definitely be using some of these.

Fingers crossed for you! It will come! 😉
  12. Congratulations! I totally understand how you're feeling. I was doing the same thing the other day and started double guessing myself. But I reached out to some friends who are doing good with it and let the negative stuff wash away. I think it's truly how you approach it and the support you have and refuse to let negative Nancy's scare me. I'm gonna go in positive and make the best of it all! I'm scheduled for April 16th. So we'll be in the same time frame. Good luck doll! Stay positive!
  13. Well, I have my surgery date for April 16th! 😀 Any suggestions from recent sleevers for an easier transition and healing process? Or just tips in general that were passed to you or you discovered that you'd like to share?

Two tips to consider: take Senekot every night for a week before surgery to help with post-op constipation (a local hospital near me recommends this). And start walking the hallways as soon as you are able to get rid of gas from surgery, which otherwise accumulates around your shoulders. Good luck to you!!

    Any April 2018 Sleevers?!?!

Also for the vitamins, I've been using the vitamin patches by patched. Much easier and seem to work great!

    Any April 2018 Sleevers?!?!

I'm having my vsg done April 16th. I have started stocking up on premier protein drinks, and isopure unflavored to add to anything. Also the clear liquid premier drinks but they're very very sweet! So may need to water those down. 😬 I'm also looking for further suggestions. Good luck to everyone! ❤

Aww so excited you finally got yours done and are feeling well. I know drains suck and all the itching I'm hearing about sounds awful. But just think how temporary this stuff is. I'm so happy for you. I can't wait to get mine done and over with.

Sorry I haven't been on here guys. I've been so busy. But here's where I'm at. I've done all the requirements for the insurance and Dr Georgescu. I'm now waiting for approval so we can set a surgery date. I'm hoping in February or March I'll have the actual surgery done. Hope all is well with you all. I'll be getting caught up with all of your progress soon friends and would still love to do a meet up sometime.
