  1. Me also. My surgeon consult is Friday and they submit to insurance. They are booked up for December surgeries so mine will be in January. It’s sux to have to pay our deductible all over again
  2. Thanks for the advice! I never thought to contact my insurance company directly, I'll do that to see what the requirements are to set my mind at ease, thank you so much. It's nice to have the support of all of you during this journey!
  3. Thank you so much for your kind words! You are exactly right! I have been researching and trying to learn everything possible. The only thing I have not done is try to get to the bottom of my eating and the why's. I appreciate your advice. I also have GERD so hopefully I'm granted this helpful tool, but as you said there is so much more to it :-)
  4. So I'm a bit nervous. My insurance (BCBS VA) requires a 7 month diet before they will approve weight loss surgery. I'm on month 2 and just feeling a bit uneasy. What if I do all the testing, ultra sounds, psych visits and basically jump through all the hoops and get declined at the end? My bmi is 40, and I have high blood pressure but that's it. Anyone else with similar feelings or stats? I need this so badly but the uncertainty is bothering me.
