Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty
I've tried the vitamin water Zero and didn't like it very much. I love plain ole water or even unsweetened iced tea. I could probably do the Greek yogurt with cinnamon. Do you set a limit to carbs every day? Kiki Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty Procedure day: 9/8/17

EW, where do you buy that from?? I'm going to try the Premier Protein ones from Sam's Club and see how they taste. I have a friend that swears by those. Any other helpful foods or tips? I did buy some 3-compartment meal trays to pre-package my weighed meals OneRx I'm on regular foods. That way on Sunday's I can weigh everything out and count my calories. Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty
Yes, they're paying 90% and I pay 10%. I'm having it done at U of Chicago and it's a $10,000 (all-inclusive) procedure. My Doctor said there won't be any additional fees for anesthesia or meds or anything else as long as there aren't any complications.

Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty
I have a surgery date! Or should I say "Procedure" date, since it is non-surgical. My ESG is scheduled for September 8th. My insurance has approved it and I'm so excited!! Any info on expectations or certain foods/drinks that you all have are appreciated! Kiki

Wanting to talk with someone that's had this done
That's why I'm most likely going to have this procedure too. Recovery is quick and you go home a few hours after the procedure.

Good luck EW! Val mentioned that they stapled the inside of your stomach but everything that I've read suggests that it's stitched. Which are you having? I have my consultation on 7/28. I too have a BMI of 35 and I am type 2 diabetic on insulin and other meds. I have a strong family hx of diabetes and heart conditions. I'm hoping to eliminate all of these and just want to be healthier overall and feel better. I wish you the best and would love to keep in contact with you during this journey.

Endoscopic sleeve - doctors and cost?
I'm meeting with a doctor in Chicago in a few weeks. I couldn't find a whole lot of info online about it, but I did see there's some in NY, also Mayo Clinic and Houston. Not sure where you're from. I've read that it's around $10k-$12k, which is cheaper than other major gastric surgeries. And this one is less invasive and you can have a lower BMI (30-35). I would love to talk with someone that's had it done to see how it worked out for them.

Wanting to talk with someone that's had this done
I've recently scheduled a consultation to discuss this procedure and possibly have it done. Basically since it's non-surgical, the Nurse said that there's no pre-op things that need to be done. Basically at my consultation I can schedule surgery right away. I'm unable to find very much info online regarding this procedure. I've watched YouTube videos and have seen info on the news about it, but want to speak to a live person that has had this done. Any information will be helpful! Thanks! Kiki

New here [emoji1384] Need some direction
Hello, I'm new here and have an appt with a physician on 7/28 to see about having the Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty done. Does anyone know if there is a forum for that here? It's a fairly new non-surgical procedure performed endoscopically (tubes/devices down your throat). I would love to meet and talk with others that have had this done, as I have so many questions. Good luck to all of us!!
