blakescat got a reaction from TheRealPennyD in Waist trainingJust want to say waist training and Corseting are two different things. You can absolutely be 100% healthy and not lose muscle tone while training or Corseting. With that said, if you are waist training it is latex like a compression garmet. Talk to your Dr. Sometimes they are recommend after some surgery's. But only your Dr can tell you whats right. Corseting, since it is more rigid, I would definitely wait before putting one back on and wait till I am completely healed. Also, Real Corsets are expensive, wait till you are at your goal to start purchasing them they are a real investment and spending that kind of money for something you can only fit for a month is a waist.

blakescat got a reaction from successboundNP in Waist trainingI agree for some waist training is a fad. Corseting and Faja's have been around and in use for years. Only recent stars have made it a popular fad here in the US. But even if you lose weight, unless it is in your genes, you will not have an hourglass figure. Nothing wrong with someone wanting to grab that sexy look. [emoji4]

blakescat reacted to MegHealthy in MAY 2019 SleeversLovelots, my pre op diet is 2 weeks. Two shakes a day with high protein snacks in between and a lean + green dinner. -
blakescat reacted to KonaYvonne in MAY 2019 SleeversI'm not nervous for the surgery at all, but I think I'm starting to mourn the things that I won't be having again: my morning Mcdonalds diet coke, my hot cafe pretzel on Target runs, my cinnamon bears at CVS, the cinnamon twists at Dominos...okay, i need to stop!
On another note, we moved from Helena, AL to Hawaii 6 years ago. Love me some Zoe's Kitchen. Roll Tide!

blakescat reacted to Frustr8 in I hate my neckIt was bad enough I was as Big as a Dragon, but now I have a neck like a flippin' turtle, not desirous of being an reptile unless I can be pretty like a Coral Snake or as fearsome as an Gila Monster, they're poisonous, Nobody messes with THEM!
I've only made it down to a 18-20 but starting with 28-30W that is COOL at this point. And I may still whittle down to my 175 Goal! -

blakescat reacted to Sheribear68 in No weight lossOkay so I hit a stall on on day 12 after losing 23 pounds and once it lasted 3 days I decided that I CANNOT be a slave to the scale.
It hasn’t been long enough since surgery for me to feel like I can handle the mental roller coaster the scale provides.
So this is what I worked out I was gonna do: Find a pair of pants that you are close to fitting in, but that don’t fit yet.
Try them on every day until you CAN fit in them.
Then and only then do you weigh yourself.
I had my husband hide the scale and promise not to tell me where it was until I can fit into those pants.
I haven’t weighed myself in 3 mornings now and I feel better about it. -
blakescat reacted to AZhiker in Eating & painI have found that if I eat until I think I am full, I will have pain. I have to stop before that point and just let things rest. I usually have to divide my protein meal in half and eat the second part about an hour later. I also found that I need to have a lot more moisture with my protein, so I add chicken broth and cottage cheese to almost everything.
If I eat too much, or eat too fast, or don't chew really really well, it will be painful. A couple of times, it was so bad I thought I would have to go to the ER, but it passed. I had swallowed too much too fast and it only takes a time or two to learn not to do THAT again!

blakescat reacted to Healthy_life2 in Waist trainingI started waist training in my 5th month out from surgery. Your size of corset will change rapidly with weight loss. I'm on my third corset.
