    Protein Problems

    I can't tolerate any dairy or soy based protein powders. Only thing that doesn't make me sick is plant based. Even after 13 years post op.

    Shakes

    There are three basic types of protein shakes: whey(dairy), soy or plant based. I struggled a long time finding a protein I could handle post op. I can't handle dairy or soy very well anymore. So I use plant based protein powders. They seem to be gentler but are more limited to find and/or expensive. It's getting better as they come out with more and more of them.
