Hi! I put $500 down and brought a cashier's check with me. Another refreshing thing at Dr. Illan's group wasn't pushy about making sure they had all their money like the US system. My husband and parents were all very worried, but this has been an eye-opening experience. I have never been treated so well by staff during a surgical procedure. My mom came with me and they made sure she was happy-brought her dinner and coffee in the morning. There is not much additional cost to bring a companion besides the flight and trinkets so he could come and stay with you in your room. Many come by themselves and seem to do just fine. [emoji16]

Today was a little rough-very hot outside so I became dehydrated. I'm resting at home while the boys are watching fireworks.

A forewarning is warranted. I'm having a mommy day today to relax! Actually I think all of the boys are scared and wanted to go fishing without me! Lol

I think we are-we'll have our own little party then! I won't lie Carmella, I have become a little cranky with everyone. I'm surrounded by 4 boys that can eat anything & Im drinking broth and jello!

Pre Op is going much better as of day 3. Yes, I'm doing only liquids. Have you checked out his FB page? It's very helpful!

Definitely!! I'm giddy and nervous and excited for this trip. I feel relieved to have company on this journey. Sorry to take a moment and vent but I need it. [emoji30]. Even though I'm 36 and a mother& wife, my mother (who is supposed to come with me) keeps trying to challenge my decision. I'm trying to be respectful, but I'm about done with it. I would love to go by myself but I promised my husband I wouldn't go alone (he is staying with our kids).

I come in around the same as you so I think we will be in the same car!

I'm doing the same at Carmella. My flight is only 2 hours and I plan to hydrate really well up till midnight.

Samantha, I had the same feeling. I'm still dealing with my family's "feelings" about this. I have good support from others that have already had one done; some in the U.S. and some in Mexico.

I'm in the same boat Carmella!! Lots of research put in; I feel like I could give public speeches on the procedure. I look forward to seeing you there!

How did everything go??

Hi! I'm scheduled for July 6th with Dr. Illan. I am wanting to go alone but my husband and mother are freaking out about that so I assume one of them will end up going with me. I'm nervous for the countdown but super excite for the life change!
