  1. I'm 6 days post op. After drinking anything I feel this air traveling back up, sometimes I burp sometimes I don't. Is that what you mean? I asked my doctor about it during the follow up she said it was common. She also suggested gas x and gas x strips daily to help reduce gas. In the first few days cold liquids made me cramp, now I'm fine (so happy lol) too hot to drink room temperature liquids [emoji23]
  2. You practically almost lost 1/3 off your excessive weight! You should feel good about what you've done so far!
  3. Hey! Congrats. I'm 6 days post op and I can't stand protein shakes or certain broths. Because I was feeling weak I had to try a few things. 1. I went to Starbucks and ordered a decaf skinny cinnamon dolce cold with soy milk (has protein, and if you know what you're doing you can add your own protein) 2. I tried beef tripe soup (just drinking the broth but left the vegs and meat in for flavor) yum Spanish restaurants has really good beef tripe soup 3. Chocolate pudding sugar free mix, you can add some flavorless protein to it. The next thing I want to try is broccoli and cheese soup since I'm on full liquids now and can have creamier soups.
  4. May I ask what's your height and goal weight?
  5. Also you can have tripe soup, just the broth. lol I was a little naughty and chewed on the tripe a little [emoji23]. It was my moment of bliss
  6. Oh wow, sorry that you experienced that. That disheartens me. I hope our regret turns into happiness soon
  7. Okay, I'm feeling the exact same way! I can't drink the protein shakes because they make me sick! I even tried isopure clear protein ewww lol. Today I went out after my appointment and I had my little sister that I had to feed. She ordered a burger and fries... I had beef tripe soup (I consumed just the broth which was delicious) but I cried. I just started to think why did I do this to myself and that it's all my fault. I'm 6 days post op and will be on puréed next weekend! Hello chili and refried beans [emoji173]️ stats: hw343 sw 319 cw 312 I keep thinking about the future when I will look and feel so much better, but yes, this is rough.
  8. Hey I'm post op and hopefully tomorrow my doctor will say I'm ready for puréed! I'm nervous about trying new foods because of the vomiting. Is it very painful? Also what are some of your puréed recipes other than soups and protein shakes? (Chili etc)
  9. Two incisions on that side right? I tried to put a bra on yesterday, bad idea. But the weight of my breast doesn't help either. It may be gas because I had the most pain there under my left breast ever since waking up and the morphine didn't help. I massage the area avoiding my incisions. And getting someone to rub your back and sides semi rough going downward helped me
  10. Thank you [emoji171]
  11. I've had sugar free apple juice, water, and a little jello. I can't tolerate protein shakes, they taste nasty. I told my surgeon he said it's okay for now. I can't wait for the puréed stage for puréed chili. How's your pouch feeling? The gas during and after drinking is real lol
  12. Thank you so much! Once I woke up I was thinking what the hell did I do to myself
  13. Goal weight. Hw 343 sw 318 gw 170 I have a lot of work to do but I'll get there
  14. We did! Do you mind sharing your hw sw and qw? They may keep me another night, I'll find out at 5.
  15. Thank you! So happy that that part has passed
  16. How did it go? We're surgery buddies lol. I'm doing okay, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The gas pain is real but my incisions doesn't hurt much. I've walked several times. My mouth was so dry and lips super chapped lol. Can't wait for something to drink today, hopefully I can keep it down. [emoji4]
  17. I picked up my scripts, I don't remember seeing anything for Nausea. I'm so nervous about tomorrow, I'm letting the 1% chances get into my head.
  18. Hey! How did everything go? Feeling okay?
  19. I guess it really depends on you and what your doctor says. I know some people said they felt just fine afterwards and others had a totally different experience. I may be wrong but I thought you couldn't fly for a while after a major surgery? Best thing is to ask your doctor and see from there. I wish you the best of luck!
  20. That's awesome, good luck! How's your liquid diet going?
  21. Yeah, I plan on ditching the gym for a while and walking around my local park where it's quiet and usually no one there until school let's out.
  22. I hope my experience will be that smooth! Congratulations!
