Hi, my name's Melissa and I been on the pre op journey since December. I do not have a surgery date yet, but I met with my doctor for a consult and have had doctor appointments with the dietician, pulmonary, cardiology, and the two psych visits. I am currently struggling on my journey, as recently I was not recommended for surgery by the pysch. He evaluated I continue my surgery with bariatric and my therapy program. Hoping to find a mentor, or even a friend for support, and sharing of our journeys!

I started my journey for the idea of a bariatric surgery back in December 2016. I quit drinking soda beginning in January, and I've recently hit a plateau I don't get much if any support from my family, and I don't really have any close friends. Looking for some support groups/friends that would motivate me, and be eager to share with me.

Hi, I'm from the Albany area of New York, and I'm looking for a support group near me. I'm not comfortable in public settings yet, I haven't a date set and am currently struggling.
