  2. I had surgery on 9/21. I'm down @ 10 lbs which I'm happy with. Couple of things that I'm experiencing and I want to see if I'm not alone. 1. Incisions are doing well, still a bit tender, and I had a lot of bruising at each site. 2. I've been in soft food phase and my body is definitely telling me when enough is enough, but I feel I can't even get enough water in either. I still get discomfort and a sharp pain when I take in a little too much water, or liquid of any kind. 3. I also have this ache in my chest, like right below my breast bone. Is that gas...heartburn? My stomach also sometimes gets hard, like when I press down I have abs of steel...lol...far from it...lol. 4. Sorry for the TMI but going to the bathroom has been difficult, really bad constipation, my doctor said it's normal but it was over a week when I went the first time after surgery, then nothing for 5 day. I hope someone can shed some light on this, because I hope there's nothing wrong. Thank you all!!!

  6. Thank you all for the helpful advice and comments. Well she was great about it. She was mostly concerned with who I chose to do the surgery because I'm not having it at a place that affiliated with the hospital she's with. I told her I did my research and was impressed with the doctor. She said she would take care of the paperwork. So one down a few more specialists to go.

  11. I'm sitting in the waiting room at my PCP who needs to sign off on my surgery, and I'm nervous she's going to say no or talk me out of it. Is that crazy?
  12. I will look forward to not having to ask for the extended belt on a plane. Not Feeling like I'm always the fat girl in the room. Not paying extra for bigger size clothes. The steering wheel not hitting my stomach while driving. The sweat that forms between my double chin and my chest to stop. The chafing going away for good between my legs. More energy, keeping up with kids, having my family see me thinner and healthier, and I really just want to be healthier and a good role model for my kids. The feet, back, hip, and shoulder pain to go away.

  15. How did it go? I haven't done the surgery yet, still doing the pre-op work up. I have Dr Samir Patel at the same office.
