  1. This is probably too much information, but since rny gastric bypass in April, I only have a bowl movement once a week. I know this is pretty normal, that is not really my concern. My concern is recently I had a bowel movement, when I got up to flush I noticed there were some solid pieces of food in my bowel movement. I just recently introduced solid food to my diet. I ate broccoli and that was what was solid. I do chew my food well so I am concerned that there was solid food. Any thoughts? Should I be concerned that a solid peice of broccoli was able to go through my stoma?
  2. Thank you, I do get full of other proteins, I am so surprised I was able to fit so much. Could it be because they were so soft?
  3. Hello all I am currently 5 weeks post-op rny gastric bypass. I am on the soft foods stage and have been doing pretty well. I measure my food and try to eat about 2 ounces at a time. This weekend I was at a barbeque and they are shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were very small, but as I was cooking a chatting I noticed I ate about 8 ounces of shrimp. I was not uncomfortable or anything just worried. I am never able to consume this much. Any ideas?
  4. Hello all, my DOS was 04/24/2017. I am 2 to 3 weeks out. I am able to drink broth or water 8 to 12 pounces in one sitting (20 to 30 min) . I know they say liquid goes right through u, but is this to much? I am also able to have eggs, cottage and ricotta cheese, but not only do I not like them but my stomach can't take them. I stick to water and broth and protein drinks. So how much broth is too much?
  5. Hi have no issue getting liquids or proteins in. I am supposed to be adding eggs ricotta cheese, and cottage cheese but no only do I not like them, but my stomach does not tolerate them. I was drinking premier protein, but jyst found this juice/water drink called protein20 that have 15 g of protein and they are delicious
  6. I just realized I posted I had surgery 04/24/2015. When actually it was this year. Have you lost much weight since 4/24. I think it's awesome we had surgery on the same day.
  7. Thank you for the comments, you get so paranoid post op, you think everything can go wrong.
  8. Hello All, I had RNY gastric bypass on 04/24/2015. So I am about 2 or 3 weeks post op. Tonight I think I took to large of a bite or didn't chew it well enough, and I felt like it was stuck in my chest. I was able to get the food to go down with some fluid. I am concerned that too large of a bite and the fluids can stretch my pouch/stoma. Even though this has only happened once is it a possibility to stretch them? Any help would be great
