  2. I'm a scheduled for July 14th in Cabo [emoji173]️ Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Same here!! I'm just telling everyone I'm going on vacation [emoji23] the only people who know are my kids, my boyfriend, and my co workers. Friends and family don't know.. aside from a few close friends.. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. My surgery (in Cabo) isn't until July 14th but I'm flying in on the 12th to have a least one day to explore Cabo.. fly home the 16th.. [emoji3] good luck with your surgery!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Be careful thinking that this is a deterrent.. your body adapts, it just takes time with the bypass. You truly have to change your lifestyle or none of the WLS tools will work.. I have 3 family members who had the gastric bypass and 14 years (avg among the 3) later they are all back up to original weight or more and can eat anything. The human body is amazing and will in fact adapt.. my oldest sister has had 14 subsequent surgeries due to hurnia's, small bowel issues, ect.. good luck to you Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I am noticing this is a common fear, here and on Facebook groups as well. I think if you weren't nervous there would be something odd.. hang in there, once it's over you'll be encouraging others how normal it is to feel nervous [emoji173]️ Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I'm not sure if you're asking about insurance coverage here, or Mexico surgery. In my case I opted for Mexico because my insurance 100% excludes it in all cases no matter what. My Dr that I chose has a patient coordinator that works with you closely, answers every question, handles every detail aside from flights. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I think if you'd never had the complications, and you would have woken up without the sleeve you'd be just as upset. Especially without the perspective of complications. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. My hiatal hernia didn't affect my first WLS.. they'll just repair it while they're in there. That recovery was painful, as every movement of your diaphragm hurts. Hang in there! Looking forward to following your story Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Oh wow that's crazy!!! I have terrible credit and I got financed. Don't give up!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Not yet! Doing the removal and sleeve in the same day [emoji7] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I had to do it from the website on my computer Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. I'm going to Dr Gerardo Garcia Alvarez at Bariatric Mexico. I have 8 people in my life that have gone there in the last year. They are phenomenal!! Even 2 months before my surgery I am seeing the quality of their work and quality of care. Their coordinator makes you feel like family. He answers my text messages or phone calls anytime of the day or night. Very prompt to get back to me, very helpful with me finding financing.. because I needed a loan to get it.. I mean I just can't say enough about how great this place is. It's a little bit more expensive but well worth it when it comes to your health as far as I'm concerned Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I'm in Idaho.. I planned it around his schedule which sucks!! But I agree, going alone will be easier. He was talking about how this will be a great vacation ect and when I said that I'll be in the hospital 3 of the days so only the first 2 would be pleasure he was all annoyed and was all acting put out because it wouldn't be a fun vaca Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. That's exactly how I feel. He's projecting something that he thinks will happen and instead of working together on the changes, he's sabotaging our relationship now. It's really sad too because we've been together for two-and-a-half years, we've talked about buying a house and getting married, we looked at engagement rings he has bonded with my kids and now in the last week I have not heard from him one time. He won't even answer my phone calls but then he'll send me a text like everything's fine. Then the next minute to me be could find a younger, hotter woman anytime.. I honestly don't even get it and it's hard to understand but I feel like I'm not going to put up with it I can do way better and I can be alone I'm perfectly okay with that. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. I'll be alone too.. my boyfriend was supposed to go, we even have our flights booked, but he's lost his mind and is so convinced that I'm going to get a crazy ego and start seeing other people once I've lost weight so I am sort of pushing him away. I don't want him to even go now. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  23. I'm going to Dr. Gerardo Garcia Alvarez at Bariatric Mexico in Cabo. I have 8 people who work with my boyfriend who've all gone to this exact same Dr and hospital in the last year.. they literally refer to it as the Beverly hills of Mexico. I'm really looking forward to being treated so well at such an affordable cost. Their coordinator takes great care of you from the moment you open the conversation, all the way until you are on your flight home. They take care of every single detail! Good luck to you!!
  24. July 14th!! I'm so so excited!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
