    Any New York City Sleevers?

Sorry about the delay in response.....West Indian and Native American. What do I eat? Well this surgery has made me somewhat of a vegetarian. Meat does not settle too well. I do have to watch my calorie intake as well as water. I do try to make smoothies. I have one protein shake (Premier Protein). I still only can eat small amounts at a time. I get acid reflux at times really badly. Sent from my LG-US996 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any New York City Sleevers?

Lol...I totally understand you. My co-workers, my children and hubby, my brother, and maybe 2 friends know about my surgery. I lost the weight and people be so surprised because they had not seen me for months, even years. I'm not ashamed at all about my surgery. It is the best decision I have ever made!!!! I can actual breath. I can walk up stairs and 1 mile without having shortness of breath. My joints don't hurt anymore. It's an amazing feeling. I'm 6 months post op, the only negative thing about the surgery is these yo-yo hormones. [emoji34] Sent from my LG-US996 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any New York City Sleevers?

Yes, I'm taking multivitamins, B-Complex, Vitamin B1, Vit C and D. My PCP just added monthly B12 shots and B12 sublingual pills everyday. I'm also taking a high dude Iron capsule as well. It metabolizes differently than over the counter iron. Yes, I stay very active. I do exercise. BUT, my weight lifting sucks!!! I don't have the time to go to a gym. I have made one in my garage but I still have to get a weight bench and other weight equipment. Sent from my LG-US996 using BariatricPal mobile app

  14. I'm very concerned. I am 3 months and 4 days post-op. I had the sleeve. I feel great! My surgery weight was 244 and tiday it's 187! I have dropped 3 clothing sizes! But my concern....I DO NOT TAKE IN ENOUGH CALORIES AND PROTEIN!!! Arghhh! I try ti eat. I push ti eat. I weigh out my portions. But i get 2 or 3 bus in and I'm done. I still can't tolerate some smells and some tastes of foods. I can't tolerate meats (this includes beef, chicken, and turkey). The highest amount of calories I have consumed a day has been 500, protein maybe 50. I'm losing weight fast but now I can actually feel my bones like when I sit out lay down. Any suggestions? Or am I being paranoid?? Sent from my LG-US996 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Dizziness and Heart Rate

Hi! I was sleeved on 4-3-17. I was having the same issues. My potassium decreased and I would get light-headed when standing. And the heartburn was unbearable!!! I went to the doctor and was given potassium to take for 5 days and was told to increase my water intake. More than likely you are sounding dehydrated. I was dehydrated. Once I increased my water in take (I was only taking in less than 20 ml of water per day due to the heartburn in which we should be taking in between 48 to 64 oz of water daily), I began to feel better. I am having more energy. I am eating more. My skin is looking tremendously better. I look alive again! Your body will get adjusted to the transition its going through. You have to follow the directions of your surgeon (or PCP) and keep pushing forward each day. You will make it. I know it seems difficult right now (as I am feeling the struggle too right along with you) but trust me, it will get better!!![emoji4] Sent from my LG-US996 using BariatricPal mobile app
