Just got the call today that my insurance was approved and my surgery date is May 9th. Since my body is not so big the doctor said the tools would fit in my body easily therefore I didnt have to follow a long liquid diet. Im so excited. Is anybody else scheduled for May 9th.? Wishing you the best luck and prayers your way. My surgery is at 7:00am. At first I couldn't wait for this day to get here now I am regretting it. I am so scared! Mainly because I have sinusitis and my nostrils keeps getting clogged and im so afraid to stop breathing during aurgery. Hi guys im new to forum! So my bmi is at 40.3 with no complications. I have been referred to a surgeon for gastric bypass and I have completed any requirement that my insurance may ask for. I did 6 months of a supervised diet amd got cleared by the dietician and mey with the psychiatrist and with the surgeon. Everything is clear on their end and now the only thing pending is my insurance.. the surgeon submitted the documents to them on a Tuesday of last week so it has been about 7-8 days and the surgeon told me that my file was under supervision.. i was wondering who else in California has full Medi-cal and how long it took to hear back from them. You are so lucky you don't have to be on a liquid diet. Mine is a combination of a liquid diet equaling to 800 cals a day also. My weight is currently 225.. Sent from my SM-N900V using BariatricPal mobile app

I was only required a 5 day liquid diet, but even then it has been hard for me! My diet restrictions are the same as yours except I could have smashed potatoes... yesterday I wanted to have smash potatoes so I decided to go buy one at KFC.. & once I was there girl I jist ordered a Famous chicken bowl instead. I ate that thing like there was no tomorrow... and then a couple hours later I regreted it. So far I havent had anything but a protein shake. Im punishing myself . It is hard girl. Im 22, & im 3 days away from my surgery. The most difficult part for my journey was the psychiatrist since he kept pushing and asking if I was sure because of my age. But it all went well at the end. Im also a mommy of 2 . Ages 4 & 5. Sent from my SM-N900V using BariatricPal mobile app
