  1. That's confusing....what is an 8oz meal? 8oz is about a cup of food....but what type? I would call the nutritionist to get clarification. Good luck.
  2. Your insurance could provide you with that information. You can ask for a summary plan description that will outline what is covered. The two items you would want to make sure you know is your deductible and your out of pocket maximum. The deductible is the amount of $ you have to pay before the insurance kicks-in. You will have to pay the full amount of the deductible. After that, most plans have co-insurance. That is where you split the cost with the insurance companies. An 80/20 co-insurance is normal. You will have to pay your portion until you hit the out of pocket max.
  3. Be upfront and disclose the medications so they know what you are taking. My psych eval didn't have any concern with my previous use of anti-depressants and my statement that I expect that I will need them again at some point in my life. The purpose of the pysch eval was to make sure I understand the significant of what I was doing and rule out any major issues that would make it impossible for me to adhere to the post-op instructions / lifestyle change. My anxiety and depression were not a deal breaker.
  4. I read that as 8oz meat AND a small salad.
