  1. I got the same advice. At my 3 week checkup, the surgeon said to just stay at a walk. 4 week checkup with the nurse gave me the all clear to resume regular exercise with mild-moderate weights. She said as long as my incisions are fully healed, I can resume normal exercise. Good Luck.
  2. I'm an RN on an adult locked psych unit. I was sleeved 4-5 and definitely would have been ready to return after 2 weeks. Barely any pain in the incisions, just some aching really. I took this week as an extra one because of school vacations. I also didn't tell anyone what I was having done. I said hernia repair. My coworkers are so great I can just bow out of dangerous situations for a bit and not risk getting injured. I always bring my own food/water and protein shakes so that will be fine. Good luck!!!

  5. I am 10 days out today and just spent a few hours walking around Lynnfield. We were going to go to Boston but I was unsure. I drank a TON of water & had a protein shake before going and did FINE! Sit and restt every hour& stay hydrated. Take some Tylenol if your incisions are a little sore but I think you'll do great!
