  1. Ive tolerated everything such as water broth, jello and protein but I hate drinking the protein shakes. I find it too sweet now and it always take me more than hr to finish it. The thickness leaves behind a chalky taste and sometimes I have to wait a while to have another sip because I'm afraid that I'll start coughing. I coughed the other day and I swore I broke a stitch (I'm exaggerating) but it was definitely not a cool feeling. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Wishing you the best of luck and speedy recovery. I'm 6 days post op, so my advice to you for after surgery is to walk. Walk as often as you can, it will help with the gas pains. As for me I couldn't drink any fluids while sitting down, so I sipped while standing or walking around because if not I will get really bad acid reflux. Just a head up that ish hurts more than the incisions lol. You'll be fine though, its such an amazing journey and you won't regret it. Let us know how you are after surgery. 3. Thanks I'll definitely go look at my Walgreens. I have a question though. So my doctor had me drinking 4oz of protein shakes 3 times a day. Which is a total of 75 g of protein per day. If I drink those protein2o, how much is the protein per serving? Cause they're really strict with getting in at least 70 g of protein a day. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

    May sleevers?

I'm in the same boat lol. Today though I couldn't finish my third protein shake. I feel really full like if my stomach is about to explode lol. I'm so happy I haven't had any episodes yet. Hopefully I can handle our next phase "pureed". I haven't taken any pain meds since Thursday and I've been doing good. The only thing that kills me is that I have a boyfriend and son who are both clowns lol and have me laughing, but it hurts to laugh right now. I'm still swollen, I say I look pregnant now cause my belly looks so round lol. I wonder how long does it take for the swelling to go down. I'm glad you're doing great [emoji106] good luck on your journey. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. So today I signed my consent form and got my surgery date for May 8th. Tomorrow I start my pre op diet and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. It's a big decision but I'm ready for it. Any suggestions? I've tried the Tripact vanilla latte protein shake with almond milk and I like it. I hope I still like it after surgery. Would love to hear about everyones experience whether it be pre op or post op. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

  9. My neighbor made my chicken broth with the veggies for flavor and then strained it. Try to do that instead of buying the ones from the store, I couldn't stand those.
  10. 5 day post-op. My best advice is to think of all the cool places you'll be able to shop at and the new things you'll be doing after the weight loss. As soon as you wake up, WALK!! At first it will feel a little weird but believe me it helps so much. Also, you'll be peeing a lot because of fluids. Take that time to walk too. Walking and sipping on your fluids will help with recovery and to be discharged faster. I was too high right after surgery that I kept knocking out, But the next day I was up and going. Youre going to feel soreness and that's normal. Best of luck and Congrats
  11. We're on the same boat. I too have my post-op appointment in May 18th. Last night I was so hungry, I sipped on water and forced myself to sleep lol.
  12. My surgery was monday and I was discharged on wednesday. The very next day I had to start protein shakes along with clear fluids. I haven't vomited but I hate the protein shake now
  13. I totally understand you. My surgery was done on monday and I came home wednesday. I use Tripact protein powder from GNC and now I cant stand it. It takes me forever. Many people have suggested to try premier protein already made. So, I'm oredering some right now on amazon to give it a try. I really wish I had better advice but I'm right there with you. Best of luck!

  19. I think I'm going to try this fairlife milk, I've heard good things about it. Good luck on pureed stage. I've heard not to eat sweet potato, so just be careful eating that. I have to be 2 weeks on liquids before I can be advanced to pureed Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
