  1. Montana LeatherThong checking in!! IndyPenguin
  2. I also love Junonia. (Just spent waaaayyyy too much $$ there about a week ago...) I love their dual-layer workout shorts. They don't ride up when you're walking. :clap2: Bren
  3. My best friend is RNY and we do not eat the same amounts (we had surgeries 1 week apart). According the the nutritionist recommendations, she should be eating a total of 3-4 oz. per meal and mine is 6-8 oz. per meal. My dr also recommends a protein-type snack 1-2x/day. I'm also due for a fill (on 4/24), so I can eat a bit more than that before I get my "full" signal. :hungry: Hope this helps! Bren
  4. Clothes sizes are the one thing that makes me want to tear my hair out!! My best friend and I kvetch about this ALL the time... I'm short (5'1" on a good day) - my best friend is 5'4"... (We've both had WLS 1 week apart - she's RNY though). At our surgery date, I was 248 wearing a tight 24. She was 287 and wearing a tight 24. Today, I'm 224 and STILL wearing 24 (loose, but not small enough for a 22 yet). She's down to 200 lbs and is fitting into a 16.
  5. I'm not giving up either! I worked too hard to get this band to give up! :angry I've lost 5 lbs since 1/31/06. Not scheduled for check-up/fill until 4/24. IndyPenguin
  6. My dr. continues to insist that I'm just a hair over 5'0". I say I'm 5'1" on a good day. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! IndyPenguin
  7. I think I need to join you guys. Went for my 2nd fill today, another .5cc for a total of 1cc. In 6 weeks, I lost a whopping 3 lbs....sigh... Bren
  8. :wow2: My hubby likes to see those things wadded up in a ball on the floor... Bren
  9. Oh my gosh!! You have the best husband!! :clap2: I only wish my hubby would surprise me with a new bike...I know I'm definately ready to trade-up to a bigger one. I've already warned him that I'm getting a Harley once I reach my goal weight. Bren
  10. I feel your pain! My best friend had RNY a week before my lap-band surgery. She's down almost 70 and I'm at almost 20. She's a little lower than my weight now (230), but is wearing 2 sizes smaller than me. It's just not fair... But, I've seen her struggle with food intolerances, vomiting, and generally feeling like crap. Me...no problems whatsoever. I'd much rather lose it slower and be able to enjoy my meals. BTW, her husband is 2+ yrs out and is slowly regaining some of his weight (even tho' he exercises everyday). Bren
  11. We've never done Sturgis....but I've heard some of the stories from a co-worker... IndyPenguin
  12. My DH and I both ride. He has a Yamaha V-Star Classic 650 and I ride a Yamaha Virago (250). My present to myself once I reach goal weight is a Harley. IndyPenguin
