Pre op fail
It almost seems like you are subconsciously sabotaging it. Could this be the case?

Pre op fail
This makes me sad because so many of us, and I'm sure you too, have had to jump through so many hoops (financing, insurance, 6 months diet supervision, etc) to get to the point of approval. It would be a shame for it to all go to waste. Maybe make an appointment with your psychiatrist and nutritionist to see why you are having these issues. Good luck and I hope your find a way to proceed and be successful.

Pre surgery weight loss
I would be very careful losing that amount of weight. My doctor said 1lb/month. What is your current BMI?

Tummy Tuck without muscle repair
Has anyone here gotten a TT without getting muscle repair? Is it always required? My feelings are that with working out, I could really strengthen my ab muscles on my own. Not getting that portion done would reduce the cost of the procedure and recovery time. Any thoughts?

27 year old female. Surgery planned for August 2017.
Lol! I wish I didn't have to worry so much about weight. I keep hearing horror stories about people being denied for having gained weight and then my doctor saying to lose 1 lb a month. I am 4 lbs away from being under 40 BMI so I am obsessive about my weight. I literally layer on clothes for my weigh in and shed them until I get the right number on the scale.

Michigan Medicaid
I picked sleeve because I prefer the slower weight loss over a longer period of time because I really would like to work out and minimize the lose sagging skin as much as possible. Besides that, you know how slick people can be when people have weight loss surgery.

Michigan Medicaid
Yes, I spoke directly to the representative with Mclaren Medicaid who looks over the cases and approves and she asked me if I am tracking my food and exercise. I am 90% sure I'm going with the sleeve. Don't want to be bothered with the rerouting of my insides and dumping ?

Michigan Medicaid
I'm in the Metro Detroit Area and will be going with Mclaren per my surgeons recommendation. I am havin Dr Pesta at Mclaren Macomb do my surgery. The program there is great, they hold your hand from start to finish and make sure you have everything you need done. All my records from the doctor, psych eval, nutritionist and everything go directly to the program coordinator and she prepares the file to send to insurance.

Medicaid denied me
Wow that sucks. Fingers crossed that everything works out. I will make sure to have my doctor document my exercise at every appointment now.

Just started and have a BMI Question
Wow, so many conflicting answers. I am in the same situation. I calculated that if I lose just 1lb a month I will still be slightly above 40 bmi so that's my plan to make everyone happy.
