  1. Good luck ladies! I feel your nerves, I'm now waiting for insurance approval. When I went into the hospital for my scope that was the first time I've even had an IV in my arm.
  2. Submitted to insurance last week and have been super anxious ever since. Still waiting on my approval but have my pre-op scheduled [emoji4]
  3. Just submitted mine today, hoping for surgery the first week of April if it all gets insurance approval.
  4. Just submitted to insurance and looking at surgery the first week of April. Can't believe I have less than a month to go now... Excited and scared. Having trouble sleeping at night bc I can't stop thinking about what a change this will be.
  5. Thanks again everyone for sharing! I just submitted for insurance review today and am now waiting for approval. Crossing my fingers the process is smooth [emoji4]
  6. I was is the same boat. I've never really had reflux but my EGD revealed Barrett's as well. I was dead set on having the sleeve but after talking with my surgeon and doing more research I've decided to go with a bypass.
  7. Thanks! I went to a WLS support group over the weekend and talked to a few folks about this as well. I'm feeling more comfortable with the change. Just a last min curve ball that threw me for a loop Hoping to meet with my surgeon again this week and submit for insurance approval.
  8. Following this thread as I'm in a similar situation. I was set on sleeve as well and my Dr just diagnosed me with Barrett's syndrome and recommend that I consider RnY. Also looking to loose 100lbs.
  9. Hi everyone. I've been contemplating WLS for the past 14months and just completed the last of my 6month insurance weigh ins. I've had my heart set on the sleeve but after my pre-op scope my surgeon has diagnosed me with Barrett's Syndrome and recommends RnY instead. I'm trying to wrap my brain around the change and would love to hear more of the pros on my you all chose RnY over the sleeve. I worry about malabsorption and dumping. Thanks for sharing!
  10. @kimchee and@jensnewbody hey fellow Washingtonians! I'm in Seattle and am looking at April surgery dates. Would love to stay in touch. Where did you have your surgery?
  11. I'm a fan of the premier protein shakes, taste great and easy for on the go. They are sold at Costco so it's easy to buy in bulk as well.
  12. Have my final weigh in on Monday and am surgery eligible in April. So excited!
