  1. Hi, I'm a relatively new bandster, and I am also new to this site. I find it really helpful in answering many of my questions. I also really enjoy the chat rooms. There I have found many friendly fellow bandsters and bandsters to be. I spend hours on here, and I love it! I was banded on February 18, 2008, by Dr. Ajay Goyal, here in New Jersey at Overlook Hospital. The surgery went very well, and I hardly had any pain or gas. I was so lucky, but Dr. Goyal is an excellent surgeon and is very, very good at what he does. I was up and walking around that very night. My room was a suite, and it was absolutely lovely. I brag about how big it was, and also about the flat screen tv with free movies and video games I had. I almost wanted to stay at least one more night! If you're in the northern New Jersey area, and you're contemplating the Lap Band, I highly recommend Dr. Ajay Goyal. He is the Director of Bariatric Surgery and Associate Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. I am still waiting for my first fill! Good luck to everyone!
