Just starting out this process, do i change doctors or just go back and tell him to give me the referral. Im off by 15 pounds . Ugh

Also my doctor basically told me if I gain 20 pounds I would qualify I just think that is so ridiculous .

No no one has ever told me that I snore , unless I'm really tired . My pcp is ordering all test on me and sleep apnea is one of them .

@shawnak911 I have kaiser also and my pcp will not refer me , vmi is 38 and weigh 231...what else can I do

Hello, Today was the first appt I had with my primary care doctor and he did not referral me because I did not hit the BMI of 40 ( but I'am a 38 BMI) and I have no other issues besides being overweight ,anxiety and depression . I did let the doctor know that I have anxiety and depression but still no referral . I guess my question is what can I do to get approved or is there a private facility that will take me with the bmi of 38 so I can pay out of pocket .
