    Thank you both. I do have one person at work who had the surgery and she is very encouraging.

    Any advice on non-supporting family members? I plan on have the surgery, and I'm meeting with a surgeon next week. Only thing is my mom and sister are not supportive at all. My mom is a nurse and she keeps trying to scare my about surgeries gone wrong and my sister says go to the gym. Any type of support will be helpful.
